Started off the Valentine's Day dinner with a fine Savingon Blanc, Ottos, accompanied by a starter of very tasty Mussels. She had the 8oz filet mignon very tender and cooked perfectly to med rare along with broccoli. I had the wedge salad with twin lobster tails as an entree along with their always great Au gratin potatoes. Accompanying the entrees she had a very nice Franciscan Merlot and stayed with the Ottos Sav Balnc. Finished with a strawberry & cream creme brûlée and a piece of raspberry and shave white chocolate cheesecake. Very good service and food along with a nice conversation with the co-owner. Foxfire has now been consistently great each of the last several times we have visited in the last six months.

I wanted to give this place a much better review, it is very charming. When we walked in we were welcomed by the owner who came by our table a couple of times. Our server Sam, was GREAT. The problem happened when our steaks came Sam asked us to check and make sure they were cooked to our liking. My husband asked that for his steak to be cooked s little longer, Sam said no problem but when she gave it to the cook he loudly commented "our you kidding" . That made us all very uncomfortable.
After the cooks remark, and the looks ( the kitchen is exposed ) my husband did not want to finish his steak .
Sam took it off our bill but the owner never approached our table again!
We were very excited about the restaurant, but the cook left a very bad taste in our mouths.
Before this happened we had enjoyed our appetizers.

Third time in as many months and in this trip we were overwhelmed by some great wines including the Prisoner and Opus One.

The wine list in Foxfire is amongst the best in the area, and a lot of thought has gone into finding some quirkier wines.

Everything about our evening was as ever excellent - the staff are just exceptional and genuine, the food is wonderful and nothing is too much for the team to prepare.

Looking forward to March.

We visited for dinner. Excellent customer service! Staff was very friendly and attentive. I tried the margarita ...excellent. Not to mention the crab cakes, lobster tail and filet mignon. We will definitely be back!

There were six of us in our group on a week night. I looked up the restaurant online ahead of time so I knew there were supposed to be specials that night. The waitress forget to give us the list of specials. A couple of us had the special Surf & Turf (4oz filet). I order mine medium but it was rare to almost raw in the middle. Other items ordered were scallops and salmon which were good. Most meals were $28 to $40. Kitchen staff brought the food. The server barely came back to see if we needed anything (they weren't busy). I wasn't impressed with what you got for the prices they charged.
