We enjoy visiting the Galena area at least once a year. This year we decided to stay overnight in Elizabeth, near the winery festival we enjoy going to. Had never stayed in a "Guest House" before, so we decided to give it a try. What a wonderful comfortable clean home this is. Unlike a
Bed & Breakfast which we also enjoy staying in, this place is just as unique. Only difference, you do not see a Host nor do you get a nice warm breakfast. Basically a warm cozy place to rest & relax. Keurig coffee maker, variety of different coffees & snack bars in each room. We had the Elizabeth Armstrong Suite which was wonderful. A separate sitting room, large very very clean bathroom, The price is more than reasonable for what you get. We would definitely stay here again & recommend to our friends.

Room Tip: I believe there are only 3 or 4 bedrooms, & they're all towards the back. The front of the house is facing a busy street, but unless you are sitting in the front porch, the noise level is no problem.

We were here last week. We went directly from Spain, long flight and drive, so we were tired. This place is great. Our room was really big, very well appointed, clean and comfy. In addition, We had the complete house for us and we could appreciate all decorative details, plenty of antiques in order to keep the house character. Eventhoughthe house is in the main Street, it's perfectly insolated, so no noise disturbs at all. And you can park just in front of the door!

The only "but" was breakfast: it was just a basket of cereals bars and a coffee maker. If they could improve that. stay in this house would be a great option!

My mother and I stayed here last Saturday since we were only looking to stay one night and planned our trip to Galena the weekend before and found that the hotel that we usually stay at was booked, and the bed and breakfasts in Galena were pricey and had a 2 night minimum stay. We only paid $72 with tax for our 1 night stay and it was perfect. The home is clean with nice furnishings and a full kitchen if you wanted to cook for yourself. There are no employees that work here, all communication is online. You book your room, the woman who owns the places e-mails you your confirmation within 24 hours, and then 2 days before your stay, she e-mails you the keypad codes to get in and out of the house and your room. We stayed in the Annie Wiggins room which was very nice. The location is right on Route 20, the first house after the small downtown, right at a curve with a wonderful front porch you can sit on and watch the traffic go by. The back yard overlooks a beautiful rolling hills landscape. The only downside is that it is about 15 minutes from downtown Galena and the roads are winding on the way back, with no street lights. Note: this is not a bed and breakfast. There are granola bars and a Kerug machine in the room.

Room Tip: There are only three rooms available, I stayed in Annie Wiggins and it was very nice, it has a walk in closet and a big bathroom.

A very sweet, no nonsense place to stay when visiting the Galena area. A special touch in your room that was unexpected yet delicious. Give this new business a chance to win your heart. Cant wait to visit again!!

We stayed in the suite with our 2 kids during the Elizabeth Fair and there was plenty of room. While the house dates back to the 19th century, the suite has been updated with comfortable beds and air conditioning. The price is very reasonable and the owners are very nice people. The Three Sisters Guest House is walking distance to any of Elizabeth's restaurants or walk to Jug's for fresh oysters on Fridays. I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend the suite.
