Hotel located in the central area, on foot you can reach the most interesting areas of the city. Inside potrtete you find a gym and a swimming pool, a bar and a restaurant. The rooms are large and clean, it is the only known is the style 70s / 80s. I recommend it if you want to experience the city and do not use taxi or metro.

Reserved room (king) unavailable at checkin, put in double room and had to switch next day. It was a complete disaster, no one knew what was going on. Said they would text us but didn't. All day long we had no room and no access to our luggage.

They tried to check us back in to the double room. No one knew where our luggage was. The front desk person finally found us a king room, basic, no upgrade for our inconvenience. She said she'd call us to check in on the status of our luggage and never did.

We asked for a refrigerator for our room, it never showed up and the request wasn't even acknowledged.

I spent almost a full day with no room, which I paid for. I spent what felt like hours in lines and waiting for people to figure out our room / luggage situation. The service in the hotel bar was horrible, more waiting. No apologies, no concessions, nothing. I won't stay here again, and likely won't stay at a Sheraton again. One mistake is forgivable, several is indicative of a trend.

Hello Rebecca,

While I would like to thank you for sharing comments regarding your recent visit with us, I would also like to offer my sincerest apologies for the challenges you faced. We do our absolute best to secure all guests requests including bed types and I am so sorry this was not granted during your stay. It seems that our attempt to fix these challenges was not followed through and to read you had additional challenges getting your luggage moved is disheartening. I have conducted a formal investigation to ensure this is addressed and would like the chance to speak with you over the phone regarding your stay. I can be reached at Eric.Ballen@Sheraton.com or by phone at 312.

I do hope we have an additional opportunity to restore your faith in our service. I look forward to connecting with you.

Great location, Walking distance to everything around the river. Room was very clean and recently updated. Huge TV in the room. It was my wife's birthday and the hotel left a snack plate and bottle of wine in the room. Noise from adjacent rooms and the room above was loud, the person above us took showers at 4am, 2 am, 8 am......woke us up. We had a room on one of the curved part of the hotel, it made the room a funky shape but it wasn't a big deal.

One thing I wished, our room looked over the top of the loews next door and they had this large common area on the roof of one of the buildings with loungers, fire pits, outdoor games to play, a bar and a heated pool. Everynight at dusk that place was full of activity and people. We wished there had been some place like that for us but not sure they have any way to do it. Just one of those things you have to plan for when you build the building.

Bed and pillow were comfy. There is a Walgreens and target nearby so you can bring some snacks and drinks back to the room.

As a note, Chicago is a wonderful city, but it is overrun with beggars at times so be aware when you are walking back at night, or just take a cab or uber

Room tip: river view would have been nice

The Sheraton Grand Chicago is a magnificent hotel located near great food, shopping and the Navy Pier. It was a bit challenging finding the entrance to the parking structure and $55 a night for in and out parking seemed a bit of stretch. However, check in was a breeze. However upon arrival to the room I realized it was not a river front view. I called the guest services to change rooms and was denied as an SPG member my profile request a room located on the highest floor possible with a view. The room I was assigned overlooked the air-conditioning units. I was denied moving at 9pm because the hotel was "forecasted to sell out." I questioned not being able to change rooms as a person who was physically present in lieu of someone "forecasted to come." My second issue came when the cleaning staff missed both my late check and "green" designation and cleaned my room discarding my receipts and parking ticket as waste. The manager apologized and provided a way for me to exit the garage in addition to comping the parking without request. EXCELLENT SERVICE RECOVERY.

The hotel is amazing although there are a few points that could be improved upon. I look forward to staying here every year.

The service was great but I was unimpressed with the hotel. It could use some updating. There are many hotels with cheaper prices, better amenities, and more comfortable beds in Chicago. There wasn't anything wrong with the place, but I wouldn't go back.
