I came here as part of a business dinner, not knowing a lot about the restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the pork belly and chaucaterie boards. The wine list was also good and the server very helpful with selecting meals that would work for our group and price range. Do keep in mind that they focus on shared plates, and the food is not inexpensive (ranging from $20-120 for a plate to share, although the portions are generous). I would certainly eat here again with the a group, as it is fun to try so many dishes. They did, however, have trouble splitting the bill for the bottles of wine.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated with wood and glass in a lovely historic building, although it is loud. The patio area has a big fire pit and looks out over Millennium Park, and the view is of course fantastic.
Although there are several elevators in the Chicago Athletic Club and they all have a button to take you up to Cindy's, only one elevator actually goes up there (the far one in the line). The others will just stop and not go anywhere when you press the button.
All in all I would definitely recommend going to Cindy's for a delicious dinner with friends and family with a great view!
