This is a convenient hotel if visiting downtown or the theatre district in Chicago. The breakfast buffet offers vegan options that include a non-dairy milk, fruit, cereals, juices. I'm sorry Hyatt will discontinue complimentary breakfast to non-Hyatt rewards members. That's what makes the hotel a great value. The room was great, I've stayed here many times. It's just another hotel w/out the breakfast included. I'm a member so will enjoy it~it's an unnecessary hoop to have customers jump through. Reminds us all who the focus is on~the company, not the customer.

We stayed here one night while in town for a play at the nearby Cadillac Palace. Check in was easy and quick; I had done online check in. We didn't park at the hotel, but it looked like it was valet only at 66 dollars a night. We parked at a garage through spothero right across the street. Breakfast was good and hot. Room was clean and comfortable. We had a view of the wall a brick building, but rooms on the other side probably had a better view.

Good hotel alternative for families. Great location! Nice, hot breakfast-options were served daily! They made accommodations for marathon runners on Marathon day, which was very thoughtful and considerate of the Hotel. Would recommend and stat again!

I like the Hyatt brand - generally luxurious. This hotel must be new or near new - everything in great shape. Incredible location - right on Marathon route. Many attractions within walking distance, including the Picasso sculpture, Oriental Theater, River Walk, the Willis tower, and the Bean. We used points so the value ranking is somewhat arbitrary - it's expensive otherwise. Valet parking is quite expensive - 66 dollars for anything over about 10 hours. There are many independent parking structures everywhere - use a parking service on the Internet to find choices much less expensive to park your car.

Hotel was nice, the room was average. Got stuck with a room between stairwell and electrical room so it was a little inconvenient and noisy but it is it downtown Chicago so wasn't expecting much better. The room also had major draining issues which the hotel sent an engineer to look at... he said it was just a slow drain. 5-10 min shower that ends with ankle high water is not a slow drain. Breakfast was very good with a great selection. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
