Enjoyed our dinner here! Great dining area- high ceilings, spacious seating area, floor to ceiling windows overlooking South Michigan Avenue and Grant Park.

We dined on the pulpo con patatas (octopus), paired with the albondigas (beef and lamb meatballs), and the arroz a la conzuela (rice dish with chicken, chorizo, rabbit). Finally a simple desert of olive oil cake. Everything was delicious.

There is also a full selection of wine, beer and cocktails.

Went for dinner with my wife. Fantastic atmosphere for a classy dinner. The service staff was outstanding and very knowledgeable. The signature drinks were outstanding. We did one of the chef's tastings and were blown away by quality and the amount of the food. We can't wait for our next visit.

Generally stay at the Blackstone when I'm in Chicago...long day of meetings and I didn't want to go out in the cold, so I just went downstairs to mercat...have been here several times - always good...grilled octopus appetizer was very good and cannelloni filled with chicken, short rib and foie gras, with truffle mushroom bechamel sauce was great...glass of Albariño with the octopus and glass of Tempranillo with the cannelloni were both very good...the tasting menu (10 or 11 small dishes for $65) is also a good way to go if you are hungry...more fun when you're with a group...food and atmosphere are very nice, but pricy.

We came here after an event at the nearby Auditorium Theater, a bit after 9 pm. We didn't have a reservation, but there was plenty of space compared to how busy this restaurant is earlier. This restaurant specializes in tapas and plates to share. Service was good, the food was interesting and well-prepared and presented. They have the best sangria I've ever had.
