“Aussies in Idaho - Heather & Jack”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 September 2011

This was our first trip to explore Grand Teton NP. We elected to stay at Fox Creek Inn for a quiet rural experience rather than the busy town of Jackson. Julie and David were extremely welcoming and hospitable during our two night stay. Julie's recomendations for dinner at Spoons in Victor and Teton Thai in Driggs, both short drives away, were spot on; as was her suggested scenic route to Salt Lake City. They were great company at breakfast, as we discussed our days activities. It is a lovely quiet and peaceful B and B, a perfect place to end a hectic day of sightseeing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Inn and would happily stay there again if we ever find ourselves in this part of the world again.

We were there with another couple for just one night after arriving in Jackson Hole WY and before heading to a fishlng lodege in Idaho. This Inn was built a few years ago as a single family home and has 4 guest rooms and a lovely living room and kitchen. . Our friends had the huge master suite and our room was small but comfortable. The furnishings and art throughout the home are wonderful and there are plenty of comfortable places to sit in the backyard near the creek. We enjoyed our breakfast of yogurt, fruit, french toast and excellent coffee outside. We had a great dinner at the nearby restaurant called Spoons in Victor, took a ride up the chairlift at the Grand Targhee ski area to see the views, and bought yummy sandwiches for lunch at the market in Victor.
If you are looking for a comfortable and homey place to stay while visiting this part of WU or ID I think you will be very pleased with this Inn.

The Fox Creek Inn is the perfect ending for a whirlwind day of sightseeing and outdoor activities. What a delight to come "home" each night to a quiet, peaceful setting after a long day. Julie, the proprietor, opens her Inn as she would her home to her visitors. She is very knowlegeable about the area and is always available to offer "must see" sights with directions to get there. Each day starts with a delicious breakfast and great conversation. The Fox Creek Inn is very comfortable and inviting. Tucked away in Victor, Idaho, there is everything one would need to relax, rest and enjoy the beautiful Tetons, Yellowstone and Jackson.

Fox Creek Inn offers everything we were looking for – scenic natural beauty, peace and quiet, scrupulously clean, comfortable and elegant accommodations, a charming, accomplished hostess, and delicious, well-prepared food. We purposely chose to stay away from the touristy-hubbub of Jackson Hole and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Driggs and its residents, where we enjoyed dinners at Forage and Teton Thai, and frequented a real “creamery” where wonderful ice cream, cheese curds, and local cheese were offered. We found several interesting shops as well. When we weren’t enjoying the creek side bird-watching at Fox Creek Inn or relaxing by a cozy fire there in the great room, we made excursions to nearby destinations – The National Museum of Wildlife Art, Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone National Park. The drive across the pass towards Jackson Hole was gorgeous, and provided incredible views with glimpses of rushing water in the creeks, wildlife, and wildflowers. Traveling north, we found that Idaho’s “Famous Potatoes” grow in the rich soil and rolling hills of magnificent valleys surrounded by immense, jagged mountain peaks.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Fox Creek Inn and would definitely stay there again. Julie offers the best of old world hospitality, new world amenities, and French cooking with healthy, delicious local foods and generous portions. We left relaxed and happy to get to know Julie and her feathered and furred companions. I highly recommend the experience!
