The hotel is in the midst of a remodel, moving from more subdued hues and lighting to very bright carpet and lighting and white accents. Our room is well-appointed and has lamps that contain power outlets and there is an outlet just above the slide out tray of the little stand that flanks each side of the bed. There are two ottomans set under the credenza that the TV sits on, so one can use them to relax with feet up. There is a little mobile desk for laptop usage, too. The bathroom has a tall shower area and a ledge by the sink on which to set one's supplies.
Two odd things take a 5-star rating to a 4. One is the sliding door for the bathroom that in the open position covers the closet and contains a full-length mirror, and in the closed position does not shut off entirely the bathroom. There is a cut out hole in the door that functions as the handle (through which one can see into the bathroom(!) and the gap between the slider and the frame leaves an opening of around an inch, allowing sounds to be easily heard. Privacy suffers as a result. The other issue is the gap between the bottom of the door and the floor and how the door doesn't fit flush up against the frame sealer so that hallway sounds can easily be heard and are intrusive.More
