“One enchanted evening”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2011

My family's first trip to Lava Hot Springs was terrible. We were honestly shocked at how poorly people treated us and how run down the springs were; However, that was years ago and somehow we got it into our head that we were going to give LHS another try right before the Thanksgiving Holiday. SPOILER ALERT: Our feelings of this little hot spring town has changed for the (much) better and it mostly had to do with this great find of a bed and breakfast! Btw, the city took over the hot springs which were originally owned by a family and made it into a knock out facility. Very clean and relaxing!

The owners were very accommodating from the first phone call we made and even gave us a better deal than we'd seen online. When we arrived at Greystone Manor the outstanding hospitality only continued. Vicky, the owner, showed us all around the Manor which was originally a LDS Meeting House. They did a great job at transforming it into a bed and breakfast. Our rooms were large, clean and as warm as we liked them to be. Breakfast was delicious! Creamiest oatmeal I ever did have with fresh plush berries and German pancakes of all things! Fresh orange juice even. I thought Embassy Suites breakfasts were good as far as included breakfasts went but Greystone Manor proved me wrong.

What a great find! What an enchanted evening! What a change in thoughts my family has towards Lava!

Room Tip: All rooms were great. The owners even have cabin across the way they rent out as well if you're...

My wife and I were blown away. This bed and breakfast felt more like home. Vicky and her family felt like distant relatives. They were extremly warm and accomodating to our every need. The room was absolutely beautiful and cozy. I have and will continue to recommend the Greystone Manor to all of my friends and family that needs a place that away from home, but feels like home. For the price and the emmenities.....Cabo just slipped to number 2. thank you so much Vicky. you and your family has found your calling, bringing love back to families!!!!!!

Vicky and family run this excellent converted stone church into B&B in fine fashion; with a friendliness that makes you feel right at home. This was my second stay here, and in a different room. Each room is truly unique, yet comfortable--decorated in it's own distinctive, yet classy style. The beds and furniture are plush, amenities such as a beverage bar in the hallway are extra touches that made my stay that much more special. Quiet, CLEAN, and bordering on the downright luxurious. Breakfast, what can I say? From the oatmeal, to the fabulous german pancakes, and everything in between, make it worth staying here without anything else. Afterward, take a walk or short drive to the hot springs to soak for a bit.
We slept so soundly in that comfortable bed, and will definitely come back again. If you happen to need a little laundry done, no problem!
Really cannot say enough about what a great place Greystone Manor is to stay with wonderful hosts. Thanks for making it such an awesome retreat!

Room Tip: Both rooms I've stayed in were fantastic, but I liked the Burgundy Room just a bit over the Latt...

I have stayed at the Greystone Manor twice now, and each time was amazing! Luxurious accommodations yet a warm and cozy feel. I slept like a baby in the wonderfully comfortable beds and the food is delicious! The owner Vicky went out of her way to make our stay a memorable one. Absolutely love this place! Thank you!
