THIS HOTEL WAS A SURPRISE. First, it was not in Venezia it was on the Lados, but it was GREAT!! 5 stars hotel easy. Very, VERY, VERY, much worth the water taxi ride to the hotel.
CON: had to give back the key to your room when you leave. I didn't like that especially if your leaving for eight hours. Good breakfast but you have to pay for it.
PRO: everything else was great in both our rooms. My parents especially like the slippers they were given to walk around in the hotel room. They love it!! GREAT view from there room, and walking distance to many cafe. WIFI was great.

We find hair in our bed. Bed not clean.
The phone to call reception doesn't work.
The shower was broken.
Cannot turn off air conditioning.
We ask for a quilt at 11pm but Marco from reception was rude and aggressive.
He's world : "it's not a time to ask a quilt at 11pm "
He ask me to put myself the quilt inside his cover because "he is not cleaner personnal only reception "
The blond woman for reception the day after was very nice. She was sorry for him and I appreciate her apologies.
Marco should change job and work in funerals.
Ask to pay tourist taxes seperated to the price of the night .
This is a 2 or 3 star hotel not 4stars.
There is many many better hotel cheaper around and better quality .

Simonetta B, Direttore at Hotel Villa Pannonia, responded to this reviewResponded 24 September 2018

Dear Mr. Rachid,
we are very sorry to have disappointed you so deeply. We work hard to give our best and usually our customers appreciate it. It is obvious that this was not your case.
It is a pity you did not tell us at your check in (at 4:00 p.m. ) that you preferred a twin room and you waited till 11:30 when all our maids where gone.. Marco brought you an other quilt but he could not abandon the reception for too long.
As regards the cleaning of our hotel is one of our must and priority and we always try to improve.
Any complain if it is real is useful to improve.
Best regards

I decided on this hotel based on their excellent reviews and I must say they are truly deserved. Villa Pannonia is incredibly well located at around a 5 minute walk from the boat station and 10 minutes from the beach. It is also just behind the main street allowing it to be a little quieter but still minutes from a plentiful selection of great restaurants and bakeries.

The rooms are very clean and modern with comfortable beds. The air conditioning also kept the room at a lovely temperature which was greatly appreciated after days in strong heat.

Lastly the best, the customer service. I have stayed at multiple 5 star hotels around the world at many times the price of a room here however Pannonia has friendlier and more helpful staff than most of these. Whenever you walk past the front desk whoever is there seems genuinely happy to see you and will talk to you as long as you want and give any maps or other things needed. In particular the woman with the short brown hair and the man who works the front desk on the night shift were a pleasure to talk to and their advice changed our trip for the better. Even at past 11pm the man on the desk was lovely to speak to and happily answered any of our questions thoroughly.

Thank you Hotel Villa Pannonia for making us feel so welcome and comfortable, this is how all hotels should be. The Lido is such a wonderful place to stay and will be made even more wonderful here. Do not hesitate to book!

I chose the hotel based on a very scant knowledge of the Lido. We were lucky as he hotel is very central, a short walk from the boat stop and from the beach and just behind the Main Street with shops, bars and restaurants. The staff are very professional and welcoming. The room was a bit small but very functional. It has been recently renovated and the decor is not to my taste, this is the only slight criticism of the place I will go back

Was in town for a conference. This hotel was within reasonable walking distance of the conference, the waterbus stops, the beach, and restaurants. The rooms were clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The reception staff was always helpful.
I would definitely choose this hotel again
