The villa is on the quiet island of Lido, away from the maddening tourist crowd. It is a 15 minute walk from the beach at Lido. The room itself was wonderful over-looking the lagoon. Breakfast was sumptuous. The staff were very helpful in answering all our touristy queries.

Just come back from staying at Villa Laguna for three nights as part of our honeymoon. Could not fault this hotel. We had a suite of rooms which were spacious and clean with lovely views over the lagoon to St Mark's. Good breakfast selection in a very pleasant breakfast room. This also doubled as the restaurant where we ate on the first night and had a very nice meal. There was a bar area outside which was also a really nice place to sit on an evening and have a drink and look out over the lagoon.

The Lido itself is a lovely place full of nice restaurants, shops and bars. It was nice to come back after the hustle and bustle of a day in Venice to the relaxed atmosphere of the Lido. Would recommend La Tavernetta for a meal. It's a good walk from the hotel but worth it!

We'd definitely come back to the Lido and to Villa Laguna.

Room Tip: A room with a view is a must!

We've just come back from 6 nights at Hotel Villa Laguna and it lived up to every expectation. We asked for the 2nd floor room with balcony (the only room to have one) when we booked 8 months ago but it could not be confirmed until just before our trip as it is a 'time share' type arrangement on that room. But if you can get it when you visit then do as it makes all the difference to sit and see the view from that perspective and enjoy the lounge adjacent to the bedroom. We ate at the hotel 3 nights and on other occasions at restaurants in the Lido. The hotel tends to offer a "welcome menu" which is effectively a reduced set menu but they do a la carte which is more on offer. Helpful staff when you ask anything but not overly conversational otherwise. Really easy to get into Venice centre on the boats which go from the vaparetto station 2 minutes walk from the hotel. If we return to Venice we'd certainly book here again. The only downside was the very firm mattress on the bed which was hard to get used to so we didn't sleep as well as we might have done.

Venice Lido is a beautiful and quiet place to stay if you plan to visit Venice. And if you like beaches it has the nearest ones to San Marco.
To reach the center of Veniceyou only have to do a a 10 minutes Vaporetto trip and the vapporetto stop is placed to the side itself of the hotel.

imagine to be in a garden near the see taking a Spritz coctel seated on a comfortable sofa while you look at Venice beautiful sunset landscape.

Meraveglioso!

A really good hotel.....junior suite we had was comfortable, spacious and overlooked the Lagoon, with Venice mainland across the Lagoon and very visible.
Found the staff very willing and generally helpful.
The 'bar' fridge certainly was useful to keep drinks that we bought from the superette.
Biggest let down was that we had no tea and coffee making facilities in the suite which one would expect from a Four Star facility, and as we had in the other Four Star establishments that we stayed in,in Rome and Florence.
