Just spent 3 nights in the Glengoyne cottage , a 2 bed cottage with everything you could possibly need supplied in a stunning location on the Old Kilpatrick hillside overlooking the River Clyde and the Erskine Bridge . The cottage was spotless and the kitchen had everything , dishwasher , electric oven and hob , fridge with ample freezer compartment , microwave oven and all the utensils you can ever need , also supplied were some basics , milk , cereal , bread, coffee, eggs and a wee bottle of the Glengoyne whisky . The bathroom was also like new with a great waterfall shower and plenty of towels supplied . There were only the wife , me and our dog in the cottage so we only used the front bedroom which was very comfy with great views , so good we did not even have the tv on in the room . The living room was big with 2 two seater couches and dining table and 4 chairs , tv and dvd player , Wi-Fi and a docking station for your own music needs , and last but not least the wood burning stove which was a dawdle to use and an ample supply of logs at no extra cost , not that you needed it as the cottage had gas central heating , but it was so lovely with the fire on and the lights of at night . Loch Lomond was only 20 minutes up the road making this an ideal location for anyone touring this part of Scotland . Also plenty of good walks for me and the dog with the hills and fields at the back of the cottage. Many thanks to the owner Alex for the wonderful property he rented us and I will certainly be booking this cottage again

We stayed with our family of eleven in three of the available cottages. It has been an amazing week up these hills. The accommodations are fantastic, and everything is provided for a relaxing holiday. The views are breathtaking.
Our host Alex was very welcoming and helpful.
Thanks for a wonderful time.

We Have just returned from our annual Holiday and for the first time ever we needed to find accommodation. The Gavinburn Cottages turned out to be the best that we could have found. The service was superb. We were picked up at Glasgow Airport and then taken to get some groceries by the Owner . When we arrived at the cottages the views were Stunning. The location is very convenient for Glasgow, Dumbarton and loch Lomond and of course it is splendid for hill walkers The cottages themselves were immaculate and very spacious. We used both the Glenlivet and the Macallan cottages over the three weeks that we were there and loved each of them. Both cottages give a marvelous view of the Erskine Bridge and the river Clyde They were complete with everything that we could possibly need for our stay. All in all we had a wonderful stay and we will rebook for next year We can not say enough to encourage anyone to give Gavinburn Cottages a try
Thanks To Alex Fleming for all his invaluable help .
BTW, We miss having breakfast with the three friendly highland cattle that would visit us.

John & Rose,
Many thanks for your review. Im glad you were glad that you picked Gavinburn! I know it was the first time you had opted for a self catering cottage and we are delighted it didn't disappoint. The highland cows are still coming up to the fence to look in the cottage windows, which makes us suspect that our guests are spoiling them with treats! We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Kind regards,
Alex

Fantastic
Had fab time. Views from all Windows stunning very peaceful.
Cottages have been refurbished to a high standard the glenmorangie a one bed cottage had views over the Clyde and erskine bridge out to Glasgow airport but no sound heard from planes although we could see them land and take off.The two bedroom windows offered views down the Clyde towards Greenock. All views uninterrupted.
Excellent base for Glasgow only 30 mins by train £4.00 return from kilpatrick station which is olé from cottage and had on road parking. Loch Lomond is a 15 min drive away.
Owner Alex popped by to see if all was ok they also put a welcome basket in the cottage which had cereal milk jam marmalade shortbread bread and a small whiskey butter was In fridge this was most helpful and a nice touch.
Highly recommended
Well done Alex Fleming and family

Teresa,
Thank you for the positive feedback. We always appreciate when guests take time to review. A lot of our guests comment on watching the planes arrive/depart Glasgow airport. It helps make the view even more interesting. I hope you enjoyed Loch Lomond and Glasgow and im glad you made use of our welcome hamper.
We hope to see you again at Gavinburn.
Kind regards
Alex

We have just left Gavinburn after a really really lovely week. The location was superb, the cottage had everything we needed and the city is amazing. The perfect mix of rural walks and city day trips. Kids, dog, parents and grandparents all loved it.
