My family and I spent 3 days at The Hinton home. It is beautifully decorated and the country setting is gorgeous. It is nicely secluded, but close enough to enjoy The Rock Ranch (we enjoyed every minute at the Strawberry festival!) It's absolutely somewhere we will visit again! The house did have a few disappointments and I will include them in this review. The floors at the house need to be vacuumed and mopped. The floors were filthy. My 4 year old son was playing on the living room floor in navy knit pants, when he got up from the floor his pants were covered in dust, dirt and hair. The screened in porch would have been a nice place to have morning coffee, but was beyond dirty with dead bugs everywhere. The bathrooms in the house are very nice, but they too were in need of cleaning. The vanities were dusty and had hair all over them. The floors and rugs did as well. We looked for a vacuum in the house but could not find one. Some of the rugs are slippery and my wife slipped on the rug in the double bed room. Luckily hitting her head on the bed. I slipped on the rug coming out of the door off the laundry room. Honestly, overall these things did not bother us as much as usual. The house is still wonderful and we had a great family vacation, but we do believe the cleaning crew needs to do a brief walk through before the visitors check in. Perhaps some rubber backing for the rugs would be a good idea on the rugs mentioned.
