Had anniversary lunch a Mare Sol on Saturday and it was fun. Menu has tremendous variety and is affordably priced. We shared 3 tapas selections and then ordered the Greek flatbread. All were good, interesting and nicely presented. The portions are quite generous. The wine list is first rate.
Mare Sol is attractive, has plenty of vertical space, a touch of urban energy and a wall of windows The tables and chairs are small and would be tight for 4. Hard surfaces could make it noisy when full.
The two servers were just average. Both spent much more on their phones than working the room. There was no warm friendly feeling. The chef came to the bar several times but did not make a trip to speak to diners. Certainly would have been nice. They are located on a busy one-way street and handicap parking is sparse.
Mare Sol is a great lunch spot plus they serve a full selection on Saturdays from 11 without closing. We look forward to visiting again.
