Thanks for your comments about our hotel here in Hiltonia. I’m sorry that several issues combined to make your stay less than desirable. We take real pride in offering the best possible guest experience, and I understand that we let you down. You can be sure we’ll do better for you next time. Nothing means more to us than providing a pleasant guest experience.
We traveled down to Sylvania, GA for a big dirt track race that they were having that weekend at the Screven Motor Speedway. For the price we paid, we got our moneys worth. Everything was really clean and neat. Everything work properly. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They had all our stuff ready to go when we pulled up. It was a quick in and out in the lobby. They were also understanding when we forgot something when we was leaving and needed to get back in. I really enjoyed my staying at this Days Inn. I would recommand it to anyone who was looking for a place to stay down.
I had a downstairs nonsmoking unit. The AC worked, but not the hairdryer. Cable TV reception was pretty good - lots of channels. They also provide free wireless and the signal was strong and consistent. The unit was not as clean as I would have liked, especially the toilet. The staff was pleasant and accomodating. It is quiet here at night. As for restaurants, besides the local chains, there are a number of locally-owned places with decent homestyle cooking at very reasonable prices. The local deli/bakery (Donna's) has some of the best pastries and sandwiches I've tasted.
Check-in staff was not unfriendly but not especially welcoming. It is basically the only choice in Sylvania other than the Dreamland which looked like the Bates Motel with a Hunters Welcome sign. Room and bathroom were acceptably clean. We had a smoking room and travelled with a couple that did not smoke and there room (on the corner) was much larger with a large bathroom and appeared cleaner than ours. There is a nice small-sized pool adjacent to the parking lot. There are several restaurants nearby the closest of which are a McDonalds, Pizza Hut, and a Waffle House. There is a complimentary breakfast consisting of muffins, granola bars, orange juice and coffee. The room had a refrigerator and microwave. The motel is located approximately two blocks from the center of town which is, in itself, about five square blocks. We would stay here again if visiting Sylvania. There's little else anyway.
