The burgers are great. Hand cut fries. Shepherd's pie is great as well. And the fish and chips are as good as any I have had in Ireland. Found out they are now open for lunch so it's a weekly visit now.

In the area for training and I was excited to stop in to the local Irish bar. Surprised they did not have Magners Cider, it's usually a staple for all Irish bars. Ordered the onion rings and Corned beef egg rolls. Onion rings were extremely greasy and the egg rolls were ok. Our bartender never offered to give us plates so we had to use napkins as our plates.

We saw this restaurant advertised in the tourist guide at our hotel. During a nicer afternoon we stopped in while checking out the historic district. We had been there once before and the area, although advertising for tourists clearly caters to the locals (mostly hipster crowd) and it seems even the employees of the businesses make you feel unwelcome and out of place.
I wanted to sit outside and was lucky to snag a recently emptied table. My son went inside and was told by the bartender that it would be "faster if he just ordered there and brought out our drinks!! He went back in to see about a menu and was given one menu for 3 people but told they would send a server to take our order. We left- even though the drinks were excellent because we could not get a waitress to give us the time of day...although she walked past us multiple times to return to tables clearly filled with folks she knew. This seems to be consistent with the area businesses. And if that is your intended client base I get it. But don't invite people and then ignore them. Advertise to the crowd you are seeking.

Three of us came for lunch. We asked if we could sit outside, and Server Courtney (who was carrying a bottle opener in the waistband of her leggings - operating side-down in the backside of her pants - disgusting!!!! Wipe your beer bottle off before drinking what she brings) hesitated and said she would 'find us a server.' It's a 70-degree day, and there is a conference in town that you're advertising discounts for on your window. How are you not prepared for outdoor seating? The server, Erin, told us it would be a while because of a large party. We understood, of course, but we only saw her twice: Once at 11:10 when she brought our drinks and a second time at 12:10 when she brought our food. No refills. She forgot our condiment requests, and didn't really act too happy to be waiting on us. We had to go inside to get what we asked for, and there was only one other table outside and four inside. Also, two of our dishes were lukewarm like they had been sitting in the window a while. The people beside us had to go in to get their beers. Thank goodness it was draft and not opened by the Butt Beer Opener. On a street where there are other great dining options with stellar service, I'm shocked by our lackluster experience. Two stars because the fries were good.

My husband and I went here on Friday night as the first stop of the night. 5 dollar cover each just to get inside, nice atmosphere but for a place where people meet to hang out and talk the music was too loud, and the musicians seemed too angry when no one clapped when the song was over. We stayed for two songs and moved along. The music just didn't fit the theme of the place
