“A great B&B in historic Brunswick, GA”
Reviewed 1 April 2012

My wife and I recently enjoyed a four-day stay at the Brunswick Manor and we recommend it highly. The building itself is straight out of the Old South, while the rooms are pure Victorian. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet, and featured a king-sized bed. Breakfasts prepared by the manager/chef Rusty are OUTSTANDING! Combine all of the above with the fact that Brunswick is very convenient for visits to St. Simons and Jekyll Islands and you have a great vacation destination.

We had an excellent experience staying at Brunswick manor! The interior is decorated so perfectly,,,We studied every wall. So many neat collections to see ,we soaked up all the history. After taking the tram tour of Jekyll Island and learning about the Gilded age the next morning at breakfast Rusty shared more details, learning that the Grand piano was from the Crane cottage on Jekyll Island was so cool!! Enjoyed great conversation with Rusty. we felt like we really learned what it was like back in that time. We loved staying in The Cumberland room...beautiful in every way! Very comfortable King size bed! We loved the details throughout the house...the Orchids were such a beautiful touch!
Thank you again for the great Riesling Wine! Look forward to coming again.

Room Tip: We were able to tour the other rooms after arriving and they were all Beautiful!!

Our host Rusty waved hello as we pulled up to the front curb. As the massive door swung open our eyes were treated to an opulence rarely seen in our many B&B stays. The entire mansion was a well designed and furnished homage to tradition, history, and all that defines "southern hospitality". Our oversized king Cumberland suite was white-glove spotless, as was every enchanting nook in this home. High celings, historically accurate furnishings, interesting tomes on Brunswick history, and every little detail made it feel as though we were transported back to the mid 1800's. Tasty breakfast, excellent coffee, and pleasant conversation made this stay well-rounded. This is the definition of what a B&B should be.

Rusty was a superb host. The breakfasts, served on a different set of elegant china every morning, offer well-prepared food. The wine, available whenever you want it, is in the elegant living room. Decor throughout was fascinating. Henry the cat will open his eyes to greet you as you walk up the steps onto the veranda. I could go on and on.

Just returned from our stay at Brunswick Manor. It was just what we had hoped for. There was just the right mix of hospitality and privacy. Our room was lovely and immaculate. The view from the front porch is worth the trip . Best of all were our chats with Rusty, our host . I miss him and Henry (the cat) already.
