If your kids love Lego, then you must take them to Legoland! It's about 45 minutes from Orlando, so it's a nice diversion from the hustle & bustle of Disney World. While not nearly as crowded as DW, it can get packed, especially on certain rides.

Buy tickets online, which will save you about $15 per ticket. There are also deals through AAA and military discounts. The parking lot is also not too far from the park, so you may want to get the regular parking ($17) instead of the preferred (maybe $25).

Highlights-miniland! A Lego builder's dream. There are rides for ages 2 to about 13. The Duplo Valley area is for toddlers and the lines are generally much shorter.

So as much as I loved the park, there is one thing that I couldn't stand about Legoland. For $85, you can purchase an unlimited Fast Pass option. It takes you to the front of the line of every ride. Little did they know, but Legoland created a class war by creating this option, as the 'privileged' kids cut into the front of the line. Resentment ensues, and it sours the attitude of the kids waiting in line and the parents who didn't or couldn't pay for this expensive perk. At one ride, the driving school, which only had 6 cars at a time, a little girl, took her turn on the attraction, walked out, and then walked right back in on the next turn. With only six cars and three children in our party, we had to wait another turn because there were now only two cars available. This happened on a couple of occasion where our party had to wait another cycle while patiently waiting our turn in the line.

Disney does the Fast Pass option must better and Legoland might want to consider adopting it (though it makes them some extra cash).

Thank David L

We really had a good time at Legoland Florida. For kids aged 4 to 12 it's perfect. They have enough rides to keep everyone busy. Food choices are plenty and priced well.

Even though we went during spring break, it wasn't as chaotic as Disney. I have to say, Legoland is so much better than Disney for the little ones. The layout is great! While waiting for rides, which took anywhere from 5 minutes to 45 minutes max, the lines are shaded. Trust me it helps when it's 90 degrees outside with the sun beating down on you.

I would strongly recommend going! I would say one day is good, but two days, if going to the water park would be fine as well. Also, the apple fries are a must!! (Pic attached). We are looking forward to returning soon and plan to stay at the Legoland hotel.

8 year old said he was unhappy, wanted more hands on activities. I contacted legoland two days before we were to go, had bought our tickets, sent email with questions legoland sent email reply two days after we had visited. Sad !

The service was surprisingly good. We left our luggage with the concierge because the rooms are ready at 4 and we arrived earlier to go to the park. So when we returned from the park at around 6 our luggage was already in our room. Waoo I know. The breakfast is very assorted and great flavored stuff for all tastes and the room is almost magical. Also there is a small surprise for the little ones in the treasure box that they have to open figuring out clues. Its very nice. Only thing. They didn’t make our beds because they said if there are clothe item on top they are not allowedto touch them. Necer heard that before and I’m sure my bed didn’t have anything on top but it’s just a tiny detail. They did put extra towels, water bottles, shampoo etc.

I took my 7 yr old son here and he loved it! He’s a big LEGO fan, and he loved checking out all the different areas, especially the Ninjago area. We didn’t ride that many rides because he’s impatient and really isn’t into them, but he had a great time regardless. There’s so much cool stuff here.

If we came back, I’d definitely do that water park. It looked fun.
