My wife , son and I were out for a nice meal and were referred to this small venue by a friend. Thanks! It was well prepared, excellent service and all of the other accolades as listed by some of the reviews here. There are very few really good, quality places you can find today that seem to really care about the customer. Waitresses here appear to truly care about the patrons. The owner(s) are there and are watching over the restaurant (like my mom did so many years ago at Friday Night supper with the whole family) making sure everyone was having a superior experience. The quality of the food was as good as it could be, hot, fresh and flavorful. Not a hint of frozen, re-heated, canned or mass produced here. Overall, our experience was easily a 10. If you get the chance, don't miss the opportunity to have a truly superior meal.

Al fresco or indoors, Turkish delight in West Palm Beach’s Norwood Village.

Mediterranean / Turkish dishes. Lamb or chicken. Delicious flan and Turkish coffee...delicious

My husband and I love the great tasting, fresh Mediterranean style food! He ALWAYS gets the grilled octopus, but we get other appetizers and I get other equally tasty entrees. The little sample sangria and limoncello shots are fun.

The portions are large too, so you have enough for a great-tasting lunch!

We tried Agora based on the stellar reviews, "#1 in West Paml Beach", We love great local restaurants with fresh food ideas and Agora sounded like that kind of place. Unfortunately, that is not what we experienced. It's not because the staff at Agora didn't try hard...the service and friendliness of the restaurant is over the top. They present diners with a sample of sangria to start the meal and lemoncello as a pallet cleanser between courses. They show the daily appetizer specials at the table and the desserts after dinner. The menu is exotic and our waitress was very helpful in suggesting some choices for us. The food is fresh. I asked the owner if the lemoncello was made in store and he said, "Everything we serve is made in the store."Sadly, that's just not enough.
The atmosphere is pleasant. There's lots of local art on the walls and diners can seat at tables or at a bar overlooking the open kitchen. We picked a table and dove into the sangria which was very good and ordered several small plates....grilled octopus, stuffed mushroom caps and spinach egg rolls. The octopus was chewy, the spinach egg rolls were so so but the mushroom caps were filled with delicious mozzarella cheese and very good. So far about average. We chose the chicken shish for a split entree and it was served with rice and grilled veggies. Pretty good but not write home about good. Reviews glowed about the rice pudding and we found it runny and not worth a trip.
We think it's amazing that Agora is ranked so high on Trip Advisor. Really, #1 in West Palm Beach? WPB has a number of very fine restaurants including a world famous one at the Breakers. We understand that just because we felt it fell very short doesn't mean that others might not agree with us but it's inconceivable that it be ranked that high. The restaurant displays it's Trip Advisor bonafides all over the restaurant and they aggressively ask for Trip Advisor reviews from diners. Maybe that has something to do with it. Here's our review and we think it's just OK.

After reading your review several times we can't help to think we are missing something. You seemed to have enjoyed everything from the service, sangria, limoncello, exotic menu, decor, open kitchen, ambiance, mozzarella mushrooms and the chicken shish you shared. We agree, there are a lot of great restaurants in West Palm Beach that's why we are so proud of our status on Tripadvisor. By the way, The Breakers, which is one of the most luxurious hotels in the world uses us for catering frequently and is in Palm Beach, not West Palm Beach. Yes, we do ask all of our customers to leave reviews on Tripadvisor. They love us and that's why we are so highly rated! Not sure what more we could have done to satisfy you...

You have to visit Agora for the very best Mediterranean cuisine in all of South Florida. The food is delicious, authentic and served beautifully. The presentation is absolutely stunning. No matter whether you opt for lamb or the seafood, you will delight in the flavor! The staff is so charming and attentive. Ask for Rafa. He is so sweet and skilled in making the experience a night to remember.
