If you are looking for a dog friendly hotel, an oceanfront room, and a reasonable price, then this is the place to go! The oceanfront cabana king room opens right up to the beach. The hotel is beautiful, the neighboring area is wonderful, and the staff is very pleasant. Best of all, I can bring my Labrador with us for free! As a Fort Lauderdale resident, it is truly the perfect getaway from city life.

Room Tip: Get the oceanfront cabana king room!

marissa2202018,

Thank you for choosing Costa during your recent visit to Vero Beach! We agree; the Treasure Coast has a beautiful beach and is a great little coastal town. Our hidden gem is perfect for relaxing on the beach and disconnecting from your everyday routine! Thank you for your compliments. We hope to welcome you and your furry friend back real soon!

Sincerely,

The staff was friendly, the pool and beach setting splendid, the food tasty and drinks divine. Our room was quite nice but overlooked the power units on the top of the lower main building. Not inviting

Room Tip: Nice room, ugly location.

Costa d'Este is a really well-run and stylish hotel right on a broad, long stretch of beach that maintains an understated, unpretentious luxury combined with friendly service which is not overbearing at all but ensures everyone has anything they may need. Little touches like passing out frozen grapes on a hot day are nice. The staff overall are superb; in particular the young woman buzzing around the pool area (whose name escapes me) was wonderful, so naturally friendly and charming and taking care of everyone - but all the staff we encountered were great. The food is surprisingly good, and the prices within reason.

We loved our pool view room which, in fact, had a lovely view of the ocean while also having shade on the balcony much of the time (the official ocean view rooms, on the other hand, will be directly facing the sun in the morning). We felt our room was a great balance. Note that if you're on the first floor pool view you'll have no view of anything (we were on the second). And I'm not sure what the rooms in the north tower are like, as that wing is staggered a bit further back from the pool and beach (so you might end seeing more of the parking lot instead of the ocean, but I'm not sure). But a pool view room second floor or above in the south tower is perfect.

Renting a cabana one day was well worth it, and it was really nice to be able to stumble in off the beach, find a spot of shade in the seating area by the pool, and have good food and drinks without having to go anywhere. Vero Beach itself is kind of a mixed bag - not the most charming place in Florida overall but it has its moments. There are very good restaurants nearby (like The Tides) but all super pricey - like way more than we pay for a high-end meal in DC. So we only splurged on one such dinner (at The Tides, which was great). There's a nice place for coffee, light meals, and drinks right around the corner (grind + grape). Back across the river in the main town, there's a strip that seem to be coming back around, with hip looking new places - we tried Southern Social, which was fabulous (and here the high-end cocktails did not come with high-end DC prices).

I really have nothing to nitpick about our stay at Costa d'Este. It was really really nice from beginning to end. One note is that the pictures can make it look much larger than it is; we sort of imagined more of a whole resort complex, but in fact it is very compact - basically two wings facing the pool and one facing the ocean like a U-shape. The fountain in front is a very successful design feature; the rest of the building itself is not especially beautiful but the pool area is very nice and the room decor is really well done. The bathroom and shower are quite luxurious (again without being excessive or pretentious).

A great stay, would love to go back someday.

Dom-and-Irina,

WOW! Thank you for your kind words about our hidden gem! We love that Vero Beach provides an environment that allows our visitors (and locals) to just relax and take in the beauty of this town. Our views during sunrise are some of the most amazing here on the east coast. It sounds like you were able to enjoy almost everything here at Costa during your stay. We are looking forward to welcoming you back. We will have the beach chairs waiting.

Sincerely,

Best spot in Florida hands down. It’s romantic and peaceful and right on the beach. The food is amazing and not over the top expensive. The service is absolutely 5 Star. We’ve stayed at many top resorts and thus one is right up there. Great beach town. Great local community vibe.

Room Tip: Ground floor poolside room may seem a burden but it’s as private as an above ground floor and you can use your own bathroom.
