We had stayed at the Driftwood years ago, and it was a nice experience. But the bar/restaurant scene that overwhelms the property during the weekend equates to loud music, drunk patrons, and a less than ideal climate for families. It does get much more civil during the week, but the hotel is in need of some investment.

Room tip: Stay as far from the restaurant/bar area as possible,

Thank you for taking the time and posting a review. We are sorry you didn't enjoy the resort on the weekend. Waldo's is an extremely popular beachside lounge that most guests enjoy for the live music, food and beverage. I'm sorry it didn't appeal to you. Hopefully you will try us again sometime and find it more to your liking.

The room. Spectacular. Loved the unique shapes, history and the people we met were wonderful. The restaurant was superb and creative. The pool area was relaxing and we were served drinks there too!! We would come back in a heartbeat and recommend to my best friends!!!

First time staying at the Driftwood. We will definitely be back. Very kid friendly, right on the beach. Two pools, walking distance to restaurants. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Very affordable to be right on the beach. A lot of history here. Just a really cool place.

Driftwood and Vero Beach are very nice places. Mulligan’s and Waldo’s have nice happy hours. Shopped fun but very expensive. Casey’s is excellent for lunch and moderately priced. Ocean was fun and very rough.

From the moment we arrived the young gentleman who checked us in was very courteous and personable. He explained where our room was and we would have a great view of the ocean which made my wife extremely happy. The room was small but comfortable. I will say we would like to have had a stove but that was the only fault. Everything was close by in walking distance
