We stayed over Thanksgiving 2017, to be close to Family get together. When we arrived all I wanted to do was take a warm bath and go to bed... we had arrived late. Upon entering the room a bloody bandaid was stuck to the tiled floor. If that wasn’t bad enough, when I went to put the stopper in the tube it had long black hairs wrapped around the stopper chain! Fast forward to Thanksgiving morning. We always watch the Macy’s day parade and we had no TV. They had lost the signal to their provider, but only in some rooms. Needless to say we found another place to stay for the second night. The front desk had been aware of all the issues and still had the audacity to charge us for the room... I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It may had one time been a classic, but it has gone down hill.

Within 5 minutes of being in our room we saw a roach crawling up the wall between the beds. It ran down behind the bed where it met up with another one. We were able to kill on amd when we wiped it up the rag was covered in black dirt and dust. We then looked at our 1 year olds feet and sure enough, black and filthy from running around the room. Outside our door smelled like a 3 day old dead rodent. The drivers door on the shuttle from the airport didn't even shut all the way and had a 6 inch gap and rattled like it was going to fall off. When we went to the front desk to complain about all these issues amd to notify them we were going to a different hotel the front desk clerk shrugged his shoulders and replied "ok." He showed no sign of empathy whatsoever for our poor experience. We were told to call Travelocity for a refund and when the rep tried calling the hotel to confirm no one would answer the phone despite me being the only one standing in the lobby. Other than the friendliness of the shuttle driver, this experience was awful. Now I have to wait 2-3 days for an answer on a POSSIBLE refund from Travelocity. For $1 more a night we were able to go a mile up the road and stay at a Marriott which was wonderful.

Hotel is 15 minutes from Port of Tampa - Best part is the hotel has a shuttle that transports to and from the hotel.
Hotel room was your typical hotel room, nothing special - however rooms were very clean, staff were all very pleasant.
Pool was very nice and cleaned - Outside bar was incredible, decorated nicely, tropical feeling, music at the bar/pool in the evening was a nice touch!

The shuttle from the airport was hot. No A/C and he didn't roll down the window. The front desk was friendly. When you first walk in you smell the musty smell older hotels often have but we did quickly go nose blind to it. Our room was clean and efficient. We had a king bet the was a bit in the hard side and bowed to the middle but it was far from the worst bed I've stepped in. There is no alarm clock in the bedroom and when I sat on the toilet the lid fell forward and hit me in the back. The pool is nice and the tiki bar is good. The staff was more than helpful and made good rum runners and a great mojito. The restaurant had a nice view and a very friendly server but that's about all it had going for it. The food was ok at best. Rubbery over cooked bacon, rubbery over cooked eggs and chewy pancakes. Wishing we took the short walk up to IHOP. Over all we got what we paid for in Florida. We would stay here again to help with the budget.

We really enjoyed our stay here at the Tahitian Inn for a few days before we left on a cruise. The rooms were very spacious, very clean, the bed was awesome and the balcony was a nice perk as well!.

The swimming pool was really nice too, surrounded by palm trees and a tiki bar.

The Tahitian Cafe was a delicious place for breakfast and lunch!

They provided a shuttle to the Port which we thought was fantastic!

We will definitely revisit!
