There's not a whole lot to do. Been out there a few times and always enjoy walking around and exploring. Interesting history and they keep it up very well.

“Little known Florida history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 February 2012

It is huge and lots to see inside and out. There is much to learn about the north Florida Indians and the first visitors to north Florida.

“Do not miss this site”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2012

This site combines archeological, ethnographic, and documentary research to try to tell the story of this community, which combined Spanish and Native American peoples before the English came in and the community was disbanded. There is a great orientation film, and historical guides in period costumes scattered throughout the site. They were very friendly and informative. If you want to learn about Spanish colonial settlement and Native American life, this has a wealth of material. Do not miss it.

“New visitor center”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 February 2012

Very clean and appealing. Start out watching an informative video presentation and browse the musem. From there wander along the path to view the mission and its buildings. We were there on Saturday morning in January and there were few other visitors. There were costumed interpreters at the buildings but it was cleaning day throughout the mission and so we read the information ourselves. We were there about two hours. Interesting and educational.
