Aloha Kai Vacation Rentals

Strongly recommend this hotel. The value for the location was tremendous. The hotel is a bit dated, but is well kept. You are absolutely right on the beautiful beach, a private and great sized beach at that. You are about 20 minutes walk to the public beach, if you wish to take a walk. Located about 10 minutes from the nice downtown area where there a plenty of places to eat and entertain yourself and family. Very satisfied with the hotel. Safe area. Lends itself well to family. Big, heated pool. Only challenge is that there are no restaurants near enough to walk to. Enjoy!

We stayed in a unit that was termed 'motel'. We were surprised to find that we had to supply our own TP after use of the 1-1/3 rolls provided. We stayed five days and were only allowed 4 bath towels for that time. You can only 'exchange' linens if you stay 7 days or more and that is only on 2 certain days for about an hour or so (and you must complete an exchange form). Office is only open during the day. The grounds are very clean and the area was very quite while we were there. Bed was comfortable and room was clean although dated somewhat. For the rate I believe they could update the bedspreads and supply TP for their guests. My first visit to the area, so really can't say how this compares to other lodging.

Charming appartements, well equiped (privately owned units) and very clean.
Nice quiet location off the main road with a 2 min. or less walk to the beach.
Key words:
Heated pool
Screened in porch
dish washer
2 tv's
Fully equiped kitchen
professionally cleaned
laundry available

The staff was friendly and the beach simply perfect (huge & flat with white fine sand)
The only draw back was that there was no WiFi in our unit, so ask ahead if this is important to you. Since these units are privately owned I would assume that they vary when it comes to standard and equipment.

For the past five years, we have stayed at Aloha Kai for one week during February or March. We have had several different one-bedroom units during those years. They have all been quite comfy. We love the small complex and that we can park right outside our villa. We have found the staff to be friendly and helpful. It is so handy to the beach, or we spend time at the pool when the beach is too chilly or windy.

I stayed at the Aloha Kai the first week of April during spring break. We stayed in unit 31 which was a two bd rm 1bth unit. We had 4 adults and 2 small children. When we booked this specific unit we were told it sleeps 6 because of the pull out sofa sleeper. When we arrived we were told that the sofa had been replaced with a new one but it wasn't a pull-out. They did give us 2 roll aways, but only one of them would fit in the bedroom. My youngest child ended up sleeping on the couch most of the time. It worked out okay. It was nice new furniture but a little big for the size of living space. Also the street to the units was all tore up, so we were driving on bumpy dirt the whole time. We got alot of rain one night, so one whole street was flooded. They were doing work also and the place smelled of sewage. Luckily they weren't working near our unit. It was very noisy during the day. It should be very nice once the road is finished. The location of this property is GREAT. It was very quiet at night, and the staff was nice. Very clean and I am pretty picky. I would stay here again and recommend it.
