Anyone who doesn't like the Pizza Bar doesn't know pizza. This is the closest pizza to Eataly (Mario Batali, in major cities) we've had outside of Chicago (no, it's not Chicago style, it's brick oven) The crust is perfect! Crusty outside with a great chew on the inside. The flavor of the crust is great too- just the right amount of salt. Go easy on the toppings. I find the best brick oven pizzas are the simplest.
For a perfect app/beach snack try the wood fired dough with San Marzanos to dip. That and a beer and I'm in heaven! Seriously - perfection.
All of this goodness and I haven't even mentioned the view/atmosphere! Sit outside or at the bar, see the ocean to the left and bustling seaside all around you. I can't think of anything better. First stop on my trip next year:) LOVE!
p.s. Nice touch have the Cubs game on! Go Cubbies!
p.p.s. One tip for the restaurant - hire some more servers/bar tenders. The food came out in a timely way, but our server was working his tail off and could hardly keep up. On another day it was even worse for the bar tender. Still great though!
