“Another Great Stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 April 2012

We returned for our second year and enjoyed just as much as last year. The house is charming, the Lavinia room is beautiful. Larry and Ellen took great care of us, and the breakfasts are fantastic. After a long day in and about town, it was wonderful to come back and relax. Thanks!! Glen and Kim

My husband and I have decided Larelle House has set the bar for all other B&B's for us. Impeccably decorated--no detail was left undone--inside and out. The warmth of the home was apparent when we first arrived. After being greeted by our host, Larry and given a tour, we enjoyed wine out on their new deck overlooking a gorgeous bougainvillea covered gazebo over the jacuzzi. We then took a short walk on a beautiful evening to Beach Boulevard where we quickly found the perfect restaurant among many to enjoy dinner seated outside overlooking the bay. Our room was beautifully appointed with all the comforts of home and then some. Breakfast was delicious with everything home cooked by our hostess, Ellen. Seated in the dining room with the other house guests we enjoyed lively conversation. We used their bikes to head into the city to visit the Saturday Morning Market (simply delightful), tour the Dali Museum (awesome) and end the afternoon viewing the Chihuly Collection (unbelievably beautiful). We could have easily walked to everything but we were glad they offered us bikes since we were on our feet all day. We came home and enjoyed wine and cheese with our hosts and learned more about the history of Larelle House which by the way was absolutely spotless. I told them I was so in awe of the cleanliness of their home that I was looking to find some dust! The next morning started with mimosas and ended with another simply delicious and very filling breakfast. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone that is interested in having it all--it offered just that! A big thank you to Larry and Ellen for making our stay and visit to St. Petersburg absolutely perfect!

Room Tip: We LOVED the Longley room!

We booked pretty much last minute and there was only one room available, the Longley room. However it was perfect and I have no reason to think that the other bedrooms aren't as good. The king size bed is soooo comfortable. The house is gorgeous, spotlessly clean and everything a guest could want is available. Larry gave us a tour and we couldn't believe the amenities they provide - even a hot tub in the garden! The house oozes charm and has been beautifully restored. Breakfasts are huge and very good, you would not leave the table hungry for sure!
Larelle House is a great location - it's in a quiet street but is only a few minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and the pier. They even have off-street parking available. A great place to stay.

This 1908 home is beautifully restored. We stayed in the Hemingway Room. There was no "en suite" but a private bath across the hall and we had a private balcony. Our hosts were lovely and breakfast was absolutely wonderful. The property is within walking distance of many downtown St. Pete restaurants and attractions. I highly recommend it. This is a steal for the price!

Room Tip: The Hemingway Room is the least expensive. Pay just a bit more if you want an en suite.

Upon being greeted by Larry, we were given a tour and instantly felt at home. It was our first experience at a Bed n Breakfast and had no idea of what to expect. They have set the bar as far as we are concerned! We were just happy to get away from our kids so we stayed in our room all night and enjoyed the tv. One night was not enough as I really wanted to enjoy the rest of the house, such as the room with all the books, or the beautiful setting in the backyard just yards away from the hot tub. Breakfast in the morning was AWESOME. Food was GREAT. We were also in the company of great guests as well. We are actually locals (about 45minutes north in palm harbor) and love downtown St Pete. If you love the water, sealife, museums, walking, biking, etc; this place is for you. Rain or shine, this is the town to visit. The rooms and beds were clean, the coffee great, and the people very lovely. I highly recommend the Larelle House. They will take great care of you! We will definetly be back when we need another break! After one night there, my husband and I went camping. The only thing I regret was not going to the Larelle House second to relax:)

Room Tip: We stayed in the Victorian Room which has a four post corner bed and bathroom in the room. It's...
