A neighborhood version of Bennigan's. Decent food, but don't order the chicken nachos. You'll get about 12 torilla chips, bits of chicken and dollops of cheese. It should cost about $2.

We're locals and often lunch at Harvey's. The ambience is a cross between TGIF and your local corner bar. It's not the most fashion-forward environment but it's comfortable, cool, pleasantly dark, and smells just a little bit like spilled beer.

We've had consistently great service even during the busy lunch rush. You'll elbow-to-elbow with the local professional crowd for seats between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m.

Harvey's food is tasty, fresh, and consistent. The fries are worth the calories. The chef salad overflows its plate (ask for an extra plate). I haven't tried the grouper chowder or the chicken-walnut salad, but my lunch companions give them good reviews. Go for the grilled sandwiches for a real comfort-food-fest.

If your guest, colleague, child, whatever can't find something great on the extensive lunch menu, they are not really trying. I can't speak to dinner but I'm sure it's in line.
