This place has THE WORST service! Our room was next to a motor and they didn't care. Nothing is included with ur stay and everything to do is overpriced. The food is good but way to overpriced. The rooms are cramped too! Only thing good about this place is the beach! I recommend you don't come here

I stayed here with my sisters, and 1 year old niece in July 2012. We had a very nice time, our hotel room was nice and clean. When we first arrived the bathtub wasn't draining, we called and someone came very quickly and fixed it. It was nice to have a mini fridge in our room. Almost all the staff was very friendly. The one day we had family who is from the area coming to visit us and spend a few hours at the beach with us, so I went down early to get a couple cabanas, in which I was informed that there is only 1 cabana per room, and if I wanted another one there would be an additional $30 charge! I told him I was really surprised to hear that, and explained we would only be using them for a couple hours. The nice guy set up 3 for me (a nice tip helped with that) Also there is a towel exchange located by the pool, the staff working here were not very friendly, although, they were definitely very busy because he hotel was full when we stayed. The pools & beach were very crowed. The last day we were there one of the elevators started acting up, unfortunately it was the one closest to our room, which was on the 5th floor, so that was a little inconvenient. All & all we had a nice stay.

This was our second visit to Tradewinds and we were excited to go back. Our group had 5 children from ages 2 - 10 and they all had a great time! The kids loved the waterslide and the "water park" in the ocean. The value of the water park for an hour of play seemed reasonable at around $12 or $16/hour per child. The $32 unlimited waterslide wristband was great, except there were several corporate parties being hosted and the line was too long to get good use out of the waterslide.

There are a lot of other activities that you can enjoy. The resort fee of $25 gives you access to some of the amenities but the majority of the items are additional.

During our first visit we booked an ocean view suite. It was a nice size room, but the balcony is really small. In fact, the chairs face each other instead of facing toward the balcony and it was hardly ocean view! This time we didn't want to waste our money on the over priced room and found the parlor room in the breakenridge building to be nice and clean.

It is nice to have several dining options, but be prepared to spend plenty on average food.

All in all, it is a great hotel, fun property, clean facilities, kind staff and plenty to do for all ages from a kiddie pool to an adult pool, water sports, activities and much more! We certainly plan to return to this great hotel!

Room Tip: The sister property is several buildings down the beach. If you want all of the amenities you shoul...

This was our first visit to Florida in 35 years (took my own kids to Disney then) This time we came with two granddaughters, ages 9 and 11. What a fantastic week!!! There are soooo many things for kids this age to do. They loved every minute and so did we. Bermuda's and the Palm Court were excellent with prompt service. The Deli was also great and so convenient for times when we were rushing out. We took the hotels private car (with Jeff) to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium for the kids to swim with Panama (the Dolphin) What a THRILL!!!! Then we took the trolley to the museum and back to the hotel. Kids loved Splash Island, Bungee jumping, Dive In movies....and can't say enough about Keri (hair braiding lady) Kim (jewerly lady) and Tattoo lady also!!! We stayed in a tropical suite in the Jacaranda Hall building on the 7th floor. Excellent accommodations....very clean and comfortable. We ABSOLUTELY plan on going back next year with our other two granddaughters. LOVED..LOVED...LOVED it!!!!!

Room Tip: We stayed 7240....it was great!!!

We had a great time at the Tradwinds Island Grand. We had the hotel private car meet us at the airport it was 60.00 and we tipped 15.00... Dave, the driver, was great.

You have to know going in, it's a beach property, therefore, sand and water are everywhere, but the staff do a good job at keeping up with it. We stayed at the Breckinridge tower and it is at the center of restaurants and pools.

If you want a cabana with a view of the ocean, meaning front row, get in line before 7:00 a.m. or you will be in the back rows with a view of blue canvas. The towel situation, you are charged 15.00 per towel if they are not returned so make sure you keep track of your towels and turn them back.

My biggest tip is to go to Publix and buy breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks, it will save you so much money, there is a fridge and microwave, plates, silverware in the room.

We ate all the restaurants on the property, but Flying Bridge was our favorite. A must is to walk across the street and eat at Skidders. The portions of pasta are huge and you will have leftovers to warm up in your microwave. We also ate the shrimp, scallops, and fillet, and all of it was good.

If you drink, make sure you get the bar crawl passport and have it stamped you will get a nice T-Shirt when completed, and it's not hard to do.

Don't over pack, swimsuits, t-shirts, shorts, and flipflops. There is a laundry it is 2.25 to wash and 2.25 to dry.

We had the trip we wanted, relaxation on the beach, playing in the ocean food and drinks.
