The hotel and property here are gorgeous; and I certainly don’t mind paying for nice accommodations, but to then tell me it’s ANOTHER $50 per day if I want a lounge chair and umbrella?! Seriously. The nickel and diming is so annoying. Just charge a price for the room and then say “welcome! Enjoy your stay!” Even the big hotel’s in Miami give you a darn beach chair, for cryin’ out loud!

Very disappointing.

Four of us were in North Carolina on business, and we bolted on a few days of sunshine and relaxation in Florida before returning to the UK.

Arriving at the Don Cesar was like an oasis after a monumental journey. The hotel is so nice, and our rooms are really nice, with sea views. The rooms are comfortable and calming, with a nautical feel about them. I cannot fault any area of the hotel, it is pristine.

We spent most of our time at the pool. Bar service is great, and we have really had a good time here. Whilst we cannot thank the hotel for this, but the weather has been incredible, but nevertheless I cannot think of anywhere we would have preferred to be.

We recently spent a few days at the Don CeSar and were really impressed! The resort is clean, beautifully decorated and staffed with the nicest people. Dennis and his shift partner at the front door/valet always greeted us with a smile and offer of assistance. James F at the front desk was very helpful. And the service at the restaurants, bars and pool side was friendly and attentive. Don Von took care of us at dinner one night and was really great. We were at the Don CeSar visiting family who live locally but will definitely go back just to relax and enjoy this resort again!

Had a fantastic seven days of total relaxation, especially due to Nicole at the pool bar as well as Jeff. They made the stay terrific! There was quite a bit to do at the hotel. We also enjoyed exploring the area...especially Pass-a-Grill. Try the Seahorse for breakfast!

The Don has changed ownership a few times within the past few years. But I’m a local of SPB and we have always enjoyed the food poolside. Last week we brought family from out of town and the food was not good. The quality of the food has gone downhill drastically and the quantity also. Very disappointing. Won’t go back unless I hear it’s gotten better.
