“Don't let the commercialism spoil it for you!”
Reviewed 18 May 2012

The architecture is fabulous. The house and shops intact and well perserved. BUT..you have to look beyond all those t-shirt and candy shops. I just wish someone would have thought before renting this space so casually. It could have been historically based and breathtaking.

“Treasure trove”
Reviewed 17 May 2012

This old quarter is a treasure trove of history, cute shops, and museums. Lovely to just walk around. Don't miss the St. Photios Greek Orthodox Shrine (free!) on St. George St, I think.--we just stumbled upon it. Magnificent chapel inside.

There are over 200 little shops and resturants here!! We rode our bicycles the entire time, everything is so close, no need for your car, we left it at the hotel!
