Charming "Old Florida" feel to it on the Salt Run with views of the St. Augustine Lighthouse. We love eating el-fresco and enjoy their diverse menu. Conch Fritters, Conch Chowder and Clam Chowder are my favorites. There is also a band on weekends after 5pm.

Decided to visit on Sunday for sunday reggae. It was different and not what I had hoped for. Went to the restaurant and got a hut that over looks the area where the music plays. It smelled and there wasn't much to see the bay was just terrible. Now the food. The red snapper not as good and veggies appeared to be frozen not fresh, the fried shrimp well just that, fries frozen not fresh. For the price, I was expecting fresh food. Was disappointed. Service was good.

We just stayed one night, but our room (#9) was nicely updated and clean. The setting is beautiful, especially at sunset, the pool looked clean, and we enjoyed dinner and the entertainment in the restaurant. The office is closed at night, but there is a number to call if problems.

After a day is sight seeing in St Augustine, go over the Bridge of Lions and head for the Conch House. Walk out to the lounge on the pier order a cocktail and enjoy the music. Or watch the fishing boats come and see them fillet the fish. There is always a breeze and good company. Happy hour is four to seven and you can order something to eat. Their fish tacos are outstanding!

We enjoyed our three day visit so much. The quaint little hotel was exceptionally clean and safe. The restaurant had excellent food and service. Their little tiki hut “nests” are great to sit in for breakfast and we got to see manatees in the water below us. We like the proximity to Old Town and the relaxing atmosphere when we returned each evening.
