The Agustin is a cozy inn tucked away behind a wall in the heart of the shopping and bar/ restaurant district. Our room was small, but sufficient, and the price was reasonable. Kudos to the friendly staff and to the resident chef who prepares a tasty gourmet style breakfast.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Agustin Inn to attend a friend's wedding on Saturday. When we arrived, the lady at the front offered to grab our suitcases from our car, but I insisted I'd grab them (they were both heavy). She gave me a detailed map on where the parking lot was (which was only 3 blocks away, and a nice little walk looking at old houses along the way). We arrived again at the B&B, and was greeted again, with our bags already at the room, and the lady showed us where we'd be staying. We stayed in the Nottingham room, which was small but cozy, with a small porch area, and had a bathroom basically wide open to the room directly next to the bed. The room was very clean, and it was nice having a porch so we could smoke when we wanted. We unfortunately missed the first breakfast due to a long night with the wedding party at the local bars, but we did catch the next days breakfast which was great (waffles with blueberries and strawberries, sausage). Overall, it was a great first B&B experience, the only downside was the jacuzzi jets didn't work well at all, they basically did nothing, especially the back ones, which I found disappointing. The rooms are pretty pricey considering the room size, but it def beats some of the hotel's I've stayed at. I definitely plan on coming back!

Room Tip: Location is great with very clean & cute rooms!

The Agustin turned out to be everything we expected and more. Great location in the walled city and everything was within easy walking distance. Our third floor room was quiet, cool and clean.

We will stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Agustin Inn. Located right in the heart of everything - the location certainly can't be beat! The room we stayed in was the "Drake" - located on the third floor. Bed was comfortable and the big jacuzzi very relaxing. The staff was also accommodating to our needs and assisted us with dinner reservations and transportation to our concert. We will stay again next time we book a trip to St Augustine.

Mixed reviews here. The positives are easy. The location can't be beat. So close to the everything it almost trumps any other issues. Also the price is right especially to be right in town. The quality of the breakfast was excellent and the quiche was very good. We had to choose breakfast times between 9a to 10a for space sake and the kitchen closes at 10:30a. Try to get there early especially in the summer when it gets hot early in the day. Otherwise you are walking in the heat with the heavy breakfast on your stomach.

That being said there were a few issues as well. Our room was pretty small and I hit my head on the ceiling near the window (I am 5' 2") just picking up my clothes from the floor. The bedding was worn and the comforter was torn. We stayed in the Imperial Queen Room on the 3rd floor even though we prefer a King just to have the whirlpool tub for 2. It looked great when we arrived, however, we had VERY little cold water from the spigot and it ran so hot that we couldn't stand to be in it for more than a few minutes without overheating and sweating. We were very disappointed because we would not have stayed here had we known. Also we visited at the end of July and it is very hot outside. Our room was on the third floor and was warm when we arrived even though the thermostat read 74. We tried to turn it down just a few degrees to 69 but it didn't help. We informed the staff and were told it was because they keep the front door open starting at 3pm to allow everyone easy entry into the house due to check-in starting. They did close the front door around 5 p.m. and said it would cool down shortly. It was warm all night and it would have been unbearable except for the ceiling fan right over the bed. I keep our thermostat at 77 at home and that is usually fine for me but this was too hot at 74. It is a historical home so perhaps it cannot be addressed except to offer a portable A/C unit in the room for the comfort of the guests. We'd stay again if we could get a first floor room in the summer or in the winter time. The sauna bath might hit the spot when it's cold outside.

Room Tip: Get a room on 1st or 2nd floor in the summertime and eat breakfast at 9a if you will be walking arou...
