An amazing Inn about halfway down Cape San Blas. Once you head out from Port St Joe its 12 miles through woods, marsh, and beach. If your not here for the beach your in trouble. As others have noted, you spend lots of timing going back to the mainland for restaurants.
Wendy is great, the breakfasts are amazing. Not many breakfast places can equal what Wendy sends to the table. We took most breakfasts on the back patio, with most of the other guests.
Some folks may be fans of sleep number mattresses - we thought they were horrible. So much for the hype. The room is nice, of ample size. The shower did not have much force, but was like standing under a waterfall, very enjoyable.
Because the building is built out of concrete you hear everything in the very quiet Inn. If your a light sleeper your in trouble. Luckily the other guests were considerate.
The beach is very walkable, with a small surf line. One morning we watched a pod of 5 dolphin herding bait fish, and playing. Usually there were early morning folks out surf fishing. The 9:00 AM breakfasts made long beach walks impossible, unless you got up really early.
But there were lots of 12 mile trips, and then not a lot in either nearby community.

Room Tip: the best rooms are the back, upper level - big screened in second floor porch.

This was the best vacation!! I loved everything about the inn from the amazing breakfast (it was exciting every morning to see what the chef created) to its location directly across from the beach. Relaxation is an understatement for this location. Wendy, the inn keeper, is very sweet and accommodating. We are already talking about our next trip back and how we can keep this great location a secret from our friends, lol! I honestly loved my experience here and I am looking forward to going back very soon!!!

Having received a two night stay for Christmas we were excited to finally make it down in May! The inn is beautiful and the owner/staff are very friendly. The beach access right across the street was perfect as we didn't have to walk far to the beautiful sunsets over the gulf!

Be careful of times as your electronics will default to central time but the inn runs on eastern, it's important because you don't want to miss the 9:00am breakfast, it's delicious!!!

If you're seeking a fairly remote but delightful place to stay on the northwest Florida coast, Cape San Blas Inn fits the bill. You are far from good restaurants (15-20 miles) and there's no commercial entertainment, but that is a plus to many. Although the Gulf beach was across the street, we went a mile down the road to the nearly deserted county beach where there were restrooms and two shaded pavilions with seating. We biked and would have kayaked if we had more time. The rooms are large and pleasant. The cooked breakfasts were far better what I've experienced at other B&Bs. The only negative for me was that the innkeeper does not reside at the Inn.

Room Tip: We liked our second floor room because it was away from the common area. The rooms that face the ba...
