I would plan on a full day as they have a schedule of events that will take you right through to 3pm or later.

Great kids area with hot air balloon Sim and Hang Glider sim. Tons of static air craft on dsiplay. Tour guides are knowledgeable and funny. Admission includes a brief airshow as well. Restaurant on site. Zip Line too!!

Lots of parking, and LOTS to see. Well maintained and I LOVED the washrooms!

We spent several hours at the museum this past week and thoroughly enjoyed our time there - so many airplanes to see, and what a collection of engines, props, etc. We had lots of fun with the flight simulator, and immensely enjoyed the old films on people trying to figure out how to fly (flapping arms with wings attached, etc.). Going through the military plane really took you back to World War II era. Enjoyed lunch at the restaurant and the food was very good. All in all a great place to visit, and I would recommend it to anyone. Becky S.

For a nice day out... close to Tampa - close to Orlando - you will be amazed at the collection of airplanes at this place along with the history - there is a very "cool" walk-through attraction that puts you right into the battle of WWII - the flight of the day is good and the pilot will tell you about the plane he'll be flying and it's history - spend extra money and hop aboard the bi-wing front seater for a short flight (invigorating!) - spend extra money and try out the ropes course and zipline (my 3 year-old did the zipline! - there's lots to do and activities for kids and adults and don't forget the food at the cafe is very good (get the sweet potato french fries) and visit the gift shop for some cool toys!

Definitely worth a visit if you are a plane fan however a couple of tiny issues.

1. There seems to a lot of German stuff paintings of nazi planes, a German trench reenactment, lots of nazi planes, I find it a little disturbing there are more nazi planes than say British?

2. They have a Spitfire, one of the most iconic planes ever yet it's hidden away and can't be seen, we saw a small section of the tail plane at the very back of a hanger we weren't allowed in.

3. The Internet lists lots of planes and they are indeed here but some are in a hanger you have no access to and can only be seen if the hanger doors are open and then from the trolley bus. So it seems a little misleading I think to state they are here as it would imply access to them.

Please don't misunderstand this is a great place, it has lots of good ideas and reenact scenes and some fantastic aircraft it is definitely worth a visit.

There is a gift shop and a nice restaurant. The trolley bus leaves every 15 mins and you will not see good percentage of the aircraft if you don't take it.

From an historical point of view, Fantacy of Flight included a great display of vintage aircraft. The planes are displayed so you can get up close and personal with most of them. However, the commentary got a little annoying. All in all, I found the place to be overpriced!
