We've been coming here for a full week every summer for the last 14 years and by far this is the best place we've found in the Panama City metro area. This is a very family friendly, quiet place to enjoy the Gulf.

Management really runs the place well and stays on top of things. A good example is a situation that emerged in our stay in late June. Pineapple Beach is pet-friendly, but not pet-fanatic. When two big unleashed dogs rushed me twice when walking to my room, manager Todd Weber laid down the law and told the people staying in that room to put them on a leash or leave. This is a place you will find managed like a well-oiled machine, but with a friendly, down-home attitude.

Another big plus is the location. The western end of the Panama City metroplex has a moratorium on any buildings over three stories high, so it looks a lot like it was back in the 1940s and 50s. It attracts mostly families and little if any riff-raff or partying college/high school kids.

Nor are there any tourist traps like bungee jumps, go-cart tracks, Goofy Golf or mega t-shirt shops. Back Beach Road is a block away and can take you there quickly. But you can return just as fast to serene beach living without the clutter.

One complaint I've noticed is about in-room accommodations with an occasional broken table or a chair or door knob. This is not the Ritz Carlton. You're not paying $2,000 a night. So don't expect $2,000 a night accommodations. But the rooms are serviceable and provide a very comfortable stay.

Room Tip: Room 28 directly overlooks the beach and is an upstairs room, so you can't hear people walking above.

What a quaint little place, away from the crowds but still close to restaurants and attractions. They have a pool and they are right on the beach! And it is pet friendly!! All the other guests were courteous and laid back. We will absolutely be back!

View from our room was great and office staff were very friendly. The buildings could use some new outdoor paint, which would really spruce the place up. I wish that the coffee table and dining table were not glass, because I worried about that with the kids, but otherwise accommodations were very good. Kitchen quite well stocked with dishes, pans, etc. Wish they had some plastic cups, because I did worry about the kids breaking glasses (they did not). We really enjoyed the trip, the (uncrowded) beach was great and just steps away from our room. No elevator, so did have to lug our items up the stairs. I would definitely recommend this place, away from the crazy crowds at the other end of the beach. We will be back.

Room Tip: I think they all have a view.

Very clean efficiency unit. Right on the beach and away from the crowds. Nice beach with sand bar and not rough water.
Recommend this for either young families or grand parents taking care of the little ones.
Beds were comfortable. There is a full food store a half mile down the road.

This pet friendly business is a family favorite. The rates are very affordable and the beach is some of the best, least crowded in the area.

My parents and I stayed here for the better part of the week. We had room 21, which is on the second floor. We shared a balcony with another villa. Our villa had one king size bed, two full baths, a pull out couch, and a kitchen with a fridge, sink, and stove (no dishwasher).

The pool is just big enough to swim some short laps. It looks perfectly out over the ocean.

There are some minor updates and fixes this place could use (paint, general wear and tear, etc), but this is a killer value. The beach in this area is not very crowded compared to PCB or Destin where the umbrellas are 3-5 deep.
