Decided to try after hearing good things from friends. Decor and menu is up scale compared to some places nearby. I got the scallops and my friend got the grouper dish. Presentation was nice and obvious prepared fresh by a talented chef and tasted wonderful. Hostess and wait staff were very nice and knowledgeable about the menu items.
Beautiful bar would be a great place to have a drink with friends. Good ambiance for date or group. Live music on weekends.
Dinner and a drink came to $40; I’ve paid that at area chain seafood restaurant.
Definitely a great addition to the area. Will be going back.

Since the Black & White Tavern has opened in our downtown with each visit it has always been fabulous. The restaurant has become a gathering place for friends, co-workers, family and out of town guests. We all discuss what’s on the menu and who is adventurous and who is not a “foodie”. We enjoy adult beverages for the dinner meals and tasty food for any and all of the meals.
The food is fresh, interesting and visually the space is attractive.
I suggest reservations.

We have been fans of Edward's Restaurant in Rosemary Beach for years and were excited to try the new Black and White Tavern. We were extremely disappointed. The quality of the food was very poor. We do not recommend it.

Glad that it is now listed on Trip Advisor as we visited in January, shortly after it opened and could not write this up.

We drove by and stopped in because we saw it opened where the vacant space was and checked it out. It was a Friday evening and there was live music that made the atmosphere even better. We were seated quickly and the place filled up quickly after that. Service was very good and professional. The food was delicious and the portions were just the right size. We were celebrating my birthday, so they comped us our delicious desert.

The menu is a bit pricey for the area (this side of the Hathaway Bridge), but we enjoyed our meal and will be back again in the future for another date nite.

Five of us met at Black and White for Sunday brunch, arriving around 11:45. We were greeted, seated, and orders taken. After waiting 45 minutes, with no attention from our server, I asked the hostess to check on our order. She did, and assured me that they would be coming very soon. Another 20 minutes went by before our server stopped by to tell us the kitchen had “lost out ticket”. Finally, after we’d been there at least an hour and a half, we were served cold French toast and undercooked salmon with no apologies or visits from the management.

The restaurant is nice and had live music that was enjoyable, but we won’t be back.
