Such a beautiful and well kept place. We visited the gardens and the beach with all the coquina rocks. Great for outdoors lovers. They have trails you can hike on as well. Absolutely love all the scenery and the large oak trees. Definitely will come back to hike the trails!

My daughter picked out the place and we were not disappointed. It was a fun place to visit with the beautiful gardens and a nice beach. With two young adults that are a little picky, we were pleased that they enjoyed it as well.

The park offers hiking and biking paths and a range of outdoor activities among the gardens, fishing and Oak trees. This park is located along State Road A1A in Palm Coast, FL. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Matanzas river,it offers 425 acres of coastal scenery. It has a gift shop for you to browse.
This was the Winter State of Owen D. and Louise P. Young. Mr. Young, purchased this property for $6,000 and recorded the tittle in Louise's name as a wedding gift. They were married n St Augustine on February 20th, 1937 and hosted a great outdoor party the next day at Washington Oaks.

Washington Oaks Garden not only has historical linkages but also a very good place for spending time with family and friends. It is a fairly big area with a river to one side. Great place to have a picnic!

Our cousin brought us here. It was a cool windy, sunny, blue skied morning.
The Roses were in bloom this time of year, colorful and fragrant. Large majestic Oaks swaying gently in the breeze. Butterfly's hovering over flower petals. Beautiful landscape. Peaceful stroll through times gone by. Zig zagged ponds throughout. Wish there were Koi fish. To top it off, across the road is the beach with Coquina shell formations along the shore. Pools of ocean water. Nature and time smoothing the shell into beautiful, natural artwork.
A most beautiful place to visit.
