Marriott Ocean Pointe consists of a line of buildings along the ocean front with an inlet to the immediate south of the property. The water was very clear and nice. The beach is clean. Beach chairs (two with umbrella) have to be rented from a private concessionaire for $25 per day, but we were offered $100 for a week because it was not crowded. The grounds were very well kept. Our building was the Pampano which is second to the last bldg. on the south end, with a private condo bldg. sitting between us and the last Ocean Pointe bldg. I suppose Marriott hoped to buy the intervening bldg., but the whole time we were there, renovations were taking place on the penthouse so I don't think that bldg is going anywhere. The Pampano has an adult oriented pool and hot tub so it was perfect for us because it was just the two of us (50+ marrieds) enjoying a get-away week from the midwest. We love the beach and access to the beach was also right behind our bldg. We didn't mind the short walk to the tiki bar and other amenities. The well equipped fitness facility was in our bldg.

The view from our two bedroom/two bath timeshare unit was pretty good in that we could see a good slice of water from one side of our lanai - our room was about half way back from the beach. The only real complaint about our accommodation was that the second (lock off) bedroom's a/c was so loud it made sleeping in there diffifult. Fortunately, we weren't using that room except for the extra bath, but I was glad I wasn't counting on sleeping in there. Otherwise, the unit was clean, well decorated, spacious and comfortable.

Golf commentary - skip this if you don't plan to play: We enjoyed watching the boats go in and out of the inlet. We spent every day on the beach. One morning we playefd golf at the North Palm Beach Country Club Golf Course. Marriott Ocean Pointe provides a list of nearby courses. This was a low point of the week. First, the price the course offered Ocean Pointe guests was initially not honored. We were offered a higher price upon arriving for our tee time. The club then offered a discount of 15% (still higher than the advertised rate for Ocean Pointe guests) and then inexplicably we were suddenly given the proper advertised rate. This should have been the first warning that we were going to have a rough time here, as non members of the club. We were paired with a father and son, also Marriott guests. Our foursome was a competent group of golfers, not great - midwesterners vacationing, but we were aware of all golf etiquette and respedtful of the course in every way. We were absolutely HARRASSED by the marshal about our pace of play even though we teed off at noon and holed out of the 9th at straight up 2 pm. After a restroom break, we teed off on 10 and holed out on 18 at 4:10 pm. The marshall followed us around, rudely lectured us on pace of play (he spent 10 minutes lecturing us!! causing us to lose 10 mins of pace time.) It was beyond rude and ridiculous. Numerous times marshalls or associates at the club would comment that we obviously had never played there. On many holes there are no directional signs to the next tee and we took a wrong turn twice. This was a MISERABLE outing, even though I personally drove the ball further than I normally do, as a woman keeping up with and sometimes outdriving my three male golf group. We played that course in 4 hours and 10 minutes and were treated like we robbed them of a place on the course. We were lectured on how important this course was and how fine it was with a clear meaning that we should not have come. The course champion was in a twosome behind us and continually drove into us. While it is great that he can play the course in 3 hours, it is unreasonable to expect a foursome who have never seen the course before to do the same. He played through eventually, which was fine, but he was extremely rude, grunting as we said "have a good one." My only response to the people and members of that course is that if you are so wonderful, why do you need public money to keep your course open? Marriott guests - BE WARNED that this course wants your money but would prefer that you skip holes so that you don't slow down the twosome regulars who play in 3 hours. EXTEMELY regrettable game of golf and I would NEVER play there again.

Entertainment at the Marriott bar was good with a particularly talented singer on Sunday night who sounded exactly like Jimmy Buffett or Paul Simon or whoever he was performing. The staff was friendly throughout the stay. The Marriott offered buffets on several nights making it very convenient to "stay in" for dinner, but we also dined at other restaurants - ER Bradleys in Palm Beach (Clematis Street) with great outdoor eating area and bar; Jettys in Jupiter which was excellent, and Seasons 52 nearby, all very good food and ambience - and we were picky.

We own in Ko Olina and have high expectations for Marriott timeshares. This was a very pleasant week in a dependable timeshare resort.

The Marriott Ocean Pointe was a wonderful place to stay. It had 4 pools, hot tubs, baby pool, two pool bars and many extras that helped to make for a relaxing fun week with the family. They had a lot of daily activities and the employees were very helpful in finding things for you to do off site. The weather in October was fabulous and I will definitely return that time of year again. The beach is beautiful for beach lovers, the grounds and flowers are well cared for to make it a nice resort. The other families are always friendly and you feel like you are in a safe enviorment for your family. A treasure for sure is found in Palm Shores.

We love staying at the Ocean Pointe Marriott Vacation Club resort on Singer Island. The views are fantastic from almost any room. The beaches are beautiful and there is also the intracoastal waterway to view and enjoy within walking distance. Also Max & Eddies is our favorite Italian restaurant on the island, while Pelican Cafe, at Lake Park, is our favorite place for breakfast. The new Fig Restaurant & Wine Bar at Macys in the Palm Beach Mall has become our favorite wine bar and Panama Hatties for intracoastal sunsets is the best.
We look forward to our visits to Singer Island any time of year.

This well maintained with good customer service. Our condo was large and could hold four adults with comfort. It is a location we would consider coming back to at some, even without ownership of a unit. I rate this as 1-1/2 towels, the best being a 1 towel( amount of towels needed to dry after a shower).

As usual Mariott villas are spacious and nicely furnished. This is an older timeshare, but it is well maintained. We were exchangers. The grounds and pools are clean and lovely. There are wooden swings, like a porch swings that are very nice. Linens are thick and soft. Pool towels are available in villa and at a towel hut at the pool. You can exchange towels throughout the day for dry ones and take dry pool towels back to the villa each day. It was wonderful having a washer and dryer in the unit. The bed was so comfy and fitted bottom sheets were used. So many resorts do not use fitted sheets and I find them to be very uncomfortable and messy. All staff members were helpful, respectful and extremely nice. The ocean is beautiful, but because of the soft sand and many shells before the drop off, it can be difficult, depending on the tide, to exit the ocean. So just be careful. I took a few tumbles getiing out. Fortunately, other beach goers assisted me and I tried to help some others who were having difficulty. The chair and umbrella rental is rather expensive, example: I paid $100 for 5 days. This was for 2 cushioned chairs and an umbrella that the attendant would adjust for me throughout the day. The beach furniture is not regulated by Marriott. The resort is a no cash needed facility. Everything can be charged to your room or you can use your debit card. I found this to be a good thing because I did not worry about my wallet's safety. There are no pool slides or waterfalls. This would be a great addition for the kids. The hot tub spas were great, very warm and bubbly. There were plenty of activities for those who desired planned events. Be sure to use the concierge to locate everything. You will be given printed directions and honest opinions. We loved The Jetty Restaurant; it was about 25 min. away but well worth the drive. We had crabcakes and coconut shrimp. The lighthouse setting at the marina is perfect. If you are a Marriott owner you will get a better view of the ocean. If you own at Ocean Pointe you will get the best ocean view. All five buildings are right on the ocean. One building is "sorta" separated with a walk up apt. building in between. We were not in that building, but I did hear some vacationers say they felt very isolated, but that building had a gorgeous pool. You can drive about 45 min to an hour and go to a casino and there is the casino ship. Beautiful golf courses abound. We enjoyed our vacation. To think I was in the ocean at the end of September and the first of Oct. is awesome. Our weather was just perfect.
