I booked this facility via Travelocity which obviously did not have the description right. Advertised as a luxury room with amenities, daily room service, free WiFi and free parking, the perfect location in the old center of West Palm Beach and the fact that this facility is in a beautiful historic building decided my choice. I was here for 5 nights for an arts show and this is what I was looking for. $300 per night in February was not unexpected and would have been a good deal, if the room would have been as described. As I arrived, first I learned, that free parking meant street parking three blocks away. The historic building itself is lovely but needs a lot of updating but I didn't mind. The "luxury room", however, was a far cry from luxury. It was a very small (New Yorker's call it European style) room with the bare minimals, a queen size bed, a small wooden table, 4 chairs (one broken), a small dirty pull-out sofa, one bedside table, one drawer, one table lamp. No pictures on the walls, a mirror set on the floor, two drawers of the drawer were packed or jammed, the others were so dusty that I did not dare place anything inside. There were two small closets, one, which might have been intended to serve as closet was filled with broken lamps, stuff people had left behind and left over towels and blankets from the previous occupants. The second held a fridge, coffee machine, toaster and collection of plastic cups and utensils. the bathroom is tiny and bring your own shower gel, etc. (weird old bottles can be found under the sink). The television did not work, neither did the air conditioning; one window did not open, one did not hold up. The free daily maid service did not come until we asked for it - and then only one, taking with them one of the linens we had brought with us. Furthermore, the walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbor cough, planes fly over in the early morning hours and you can hear the freight trains honk in the early morning hours - bring your earplugs! The staff at the front desk is wonderful - they try their best but there is little they can do since most unit seem to be under individual ownership, including individual arrangements for cleaning the units. In sum, if you're up to an AirBnB adventure (which I was not, why I did not use them for this), if you're in a Spring Break party mood (no idea if they will keep you), and willing to spend 300 bugs per night this is for you.

I had a two day stop over in Palm Beach which was somewhat unexpected on a recent trip so I booked this stay through an online website -nothing else was available any where. What a let down. The lobby was cluttered and depressing looking and the gentlemen that checked me in seemed very nice but was as helpful as a flashlight without a bulb!!! I asked about parking (the website says -Free Parking). Yeah! It is street parking, if you can find a spot with three blocks, and during the day it has a one hour limit so you need to keep moving your car. There was no regular housekeeper who checked my room and the bathroom needed toilet tissue. I asked at the desk and was directed to walk up to the Publix supermarket at the end of the street and buy what I needed!!!!
Location was fine, the room Ok but never again!

Room Tip: Go to another hotel!

This is a condo owned by individuals. The ad on travelocity was totally misleading. Deluxe room was a shoebox. King size bed was a queen size. Free parking was on the street 2 blocks away if you were lucky enough to find a spot.
Don't use travelocity. They don't stand behind their website. The best they could do is offer a $50 coupon for a future stay. Why would I want to use them again.

Palm Beach Hotel Condo Unit 2227:

This location is convenient to the beach, great restaurants and an excellent food store. Parking is very difficult. The hotel lobby and pool are older but, acceptable. The condo unit is tiny and in severe need of painting, cleaning and general maintenance. The views were terrible. There was no housekeeping service for the entire 10 days. The appliances are ancient, LR TV unusable, and many lights didn't work. To say the least, this condo did not meet expectations. It was by far the worst place we ever stayed in, bar none.

This is a very engaging property. First off, it has historic relevance and wonderful Colonial Spanish architecture. It's a combo of residents and hotel. Each room is different in decor and style and feeling. All have microwaves, coffee-makers, refrigerators, dishes, glassware and flatware. The management is very amenable to showing a hotel guest different options that are available at check-in. It's directly across the street from a full-service market (Publix) and many other businesses such as dry cleaners, tailor, drugstore, restaurants and shops. Your stay will be charmed!
