My wife and I have been here previous, had great times up until May 2024. NOW there's a mall cop chasing people who spent good money staying at the Mainland resort starting at 9:30 PM and ending at 10.
This never happened before, I'm not coming back, I will go elsewhere where adults are not treated like children, the people I've spoken to feel the same, why come back when we're all professionals.

This is a very comfortable, convenient hotel, but the best part is Chef Rolf's restaurant! Ohhhhh! Fabulous, freshly cooked food at reasonable prices. I used to come to Sarasota to visit my sister, and we would eat at Chef Rolf's restaurant. Now that we are staying here, we can enjoy his food all day long. Tonight's special was prime rib, seved with a fabulous salad, mashed potatoes, and roasted asparagus, all for $25.
Yes, the room is fine--large and comfortable. The bathroom has nice toiletries and linens, and the hotel is very convenient, but let's talk about the brioche French toast for breakfast. And tomorrow, Chef Rolf is making roasted oysters for us for dinner. If you ard staying elsewhere, you must come here to eat!
An impromptu business trip to Florida ended up needing accommodations for four nights. The General Manager Mo was so excellent, he was courteous and very thoughtful. We were given a poolside room that was quiet and clean. It was recently renovated, so the room was tiled throughout, not carpet like many others in the area.
The front desk was very friendly and provided what we needed every time; from towels to bottled water, we were taken care of. The rates for our room were competitive, and we felt safe and comfortable in the location, not to mention free parking was provided. We did not have a chance to DINE in the hotel; however, there is a chef, and his name is placed on the sign outside the hotel; this tells me they are very confident they will impress with meals.
We will certainly be back soon!!
67 in our group from Wales were looked after perfectly by all the staff here.

Marvellous variety of breakfast dishes available too. Server Natasha in only her first week working here was attentive and helpful and deserves a special mention.
When attempting to cancel my booking, they refused to refund any of my money even though it was one month away. I understand the policy is 60 days, but life doesn't cooperate with a corporate policy. I booked through my company benefits website, which apparently utilized a lower rate that cannot be refunded. I am out $1300 dollars. This is theft and should be illegal. Do not book with this trash.
