We were looking for a good place to stay on our trip to Sarasota, but the beach hotels we had searched were all too expensive or had poorly maintained installations. So, we´ve decided to book Bentley´s and we had a nice surprise. The first point to keep in mind is that the rooms and the swimming pool area have nothing to do with the grey facade. The rooms were really clean, with a nice and clean furniture. There is also a coffee machine in each room. I think that the role hotel have been refurbished recently. On the breakfast you have to choose a hot meal from their British menu, but it was ok.

Very nice hotel, great amenities, friendly staff. Even had early morning coffee in the lobby. Check in and check out was a breeze. Clean room and soft bed, internet worked great and everything a business traveler needs to feel at home.
Room tip: ask for a ground floor

Stayed at Bentley's early April- Printer out all week; water was bad for a few days- used bottled water; Breakfast was from one to two hours long- one cook and one waitress; Fire arlarm at 2:00 AM- worker accidently tripped it; Breakfast closed one morning due to a gas leak. Closed the bar area on a weekend night at 12:00AM.

Very unprofessional. Made a complaint neither the manager nor restaurant manager called to aplogized for their staffs behavior. Unwelcoming in all ways. Total lack of service for huge party renting out 20 rooms. First place that we have ever truly felt racism and outward rudeness. We find out after talking the party was to recieve breakfast vouchers. Guest told us yes while someone was walking away the receptionist only said oh forgot to give them their vouchers. More then half our party did not recieve them. What's even more appalling is the resturant staff. Place was hardly ever busy and almost all the guest had complaints. They all had to ask individually while seated at tables together for water and utensils. One family stood waiting 15 mins while only one table was occupied and no one even bothered to acknowledge them. Another had guy already ordered food to go with a friend and decided to go down and eat there instead; as he arrived the waitress told the friend you need to tell your ppl breakfast is over at 1030 and they don't need to be showing up right before. My biggest complaint is having the sheriffs knocking on my door after 1am looking for someone who started a fight! I was upset told them I have kids why are you waking us up. The sheriffs apologize and said sorry its because your room number was mentioned downstairs. I had no clue who the person was that they were even looking for. So this was a big wedding for a great girl and I myself was shocked at the rudeness to have someone pounding on the door. We had just left the wedding celebration half of us sitting in circle eating pizza. We hear the door and open it. The hotel clerk who was so angry threatened I don't care if I ruin the wedding I will call the cops and you will leave the hotel. Wow I was so shocked they did not give us warning or a call to ask us to quiet down. Seriously how quiet does it need to be all we were doing was having some laughs and talking.

The hotel was clean and welcoming. The pool area was very comfortable although the Tiki bar closes at 10 pm; which is understanble since guest rooms surround the pool.
Only downfall, it's a bit of a drive to the beach or nearby attractions.
