This hotel is awesome. Had a preferred room close to the pool and food court. Nana, grandpa and 5 year old grandson thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of this resort. Had no problem feeding a picky eater at the food court. The room was clean and well appointed except for one day. Tried to get more hand towels but ended up with a pile of towels and the room not cleaned that day. After a phone call to housekeeping we were really taken care of the rest of our stay.Grandson enjoyed the fish and turtles living in the lake and the ducks roaming the grounds. The pools, and transportation, were convenient and plentiful. We enjoyed being able to eat breakfast outside on the large patio overlooking the lake. This was a real plus, very relaxing before heading to a busy park. Can't not mention the marshmallow roast each evening and the movies under the stars. Will be back next year!

Our family had a great time staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort. The room was spacious enough and there was ample lighting and elbow room in the bathroom area.

At check in, our daughter was given a "first-time visitor" pin, a princess tiara and a balloon. They went out of their way to make even the check in fun.

We stayed in a pirate room, which was fun for the kids. The decor was very nice and I was impressed with the finishes in the bathroom. We also had plenty of storage space, along with a mini-fridge.

The pool area was great for the kids. We had a pool right near our room for days when we just needed a relaxing swim, but our three-year-old daughter loved the kid area at the main pool.

The meal plan offered through Disney was definitely worth it. We got a lot of mileage out of the plan and ended up bringing home most of the snacks we packed for the trip.

The on-site restaurant, Shutters, was actually very good. The quick-service dining options were typical of what you find in the Disney parks. The mug that came with free soda refills was great. We definitely needed a shots of caffeine to keep us going. My husband also liked the in-room coffee machine.

There was one day when we forgot to leave a tip for the maid and our daughter's stuffed animals were just thrown back on the bed in a pile. Other days they were neatly arranged. This is also the day our daughter's favorite stuffed dog went missing - I'm guessing rolled up in the sheets when the bed was changed. We're still hoping to get it back!

All in all it was an excellent stay at this hotel. It really was convenient to everything in WDW.

As a bonus for anyone driving, you get free parking at all the Disney theme parks when you stay at a Disney resort. Although, I would say the shuttle service to the Magic Kingdom was a better bet because it gets you right up to the gate without taking the ferry or monorail.

This is a huge resort I think it's the biggest of the lot with over 2000 rooms. You don't feel crowded at all though. As with everything Disney. It's spotless and well maintained. It shows a little age but nothing to distracting. It's quiet and a worthwhile rebook.

Stayed for a week in April with my husband and 6 yr. old daughter and my parents in the room next door with an adjoining doorway. The room was very quiet, very clean and with enough anemities and space (iron, blowdryer, table and chairs etc) Great activities for kids at the pool and movie time on an outdoor screen. Food area closes between 10-11 pm. Food was ok (quick service) however plentiful in selection. Everyone was very friendly and helpful in terms if staff.
The resort itself is HUGE. If deciding to book: make sure to request " preferred location" to be near the pool/food/activity area and a bus stop to shuttle into the parks... if not- expect to do a lot of walking and / or bus shuttling from one end of the resort to the pool/ food/ activity area. lake at resort is not for swimming, but offers boat rentals at an additional cost and a kids pirate boat adventure (to be booked in advance).

We LOVE this hotel. The grounds are beautiful with lakes and ponds everywhere. We were able to check in very quickly using the online check in. We got a pirate room and it was fantastic. Really authentic looking. It was extremely clean as well. The bed could have been a little more comfortable as it wasn't so much a mattress as a really thick mat. I also wish it was a Queen bed as well since all of the other moderate resorts have queen beds. The bell services held our bags for us since we got there really early and they were great. The service was really terrific. The main area with the food court was really great too. There were a lot of food choices and we actually preferred to eat there than in the parks for quick service meals. The main pool is absolutely fantastic. Very cool looking plus the 2 waterslides are great. The kids splash area is awesome too. The pirate rooms are located in the Trinidad South section which is kind of far from the main area. I would say about a 10 minute walk. We had a car so it wasn't a big deal but if I didn't have a car I would have been annoyed. Everything is really spaced out. We could even see the Epcot fireworks from just outside our room every night. It's very quiet and I rarely heard anybody else around me. Plenty of parking and everything was extremely clean. The gift shop was well stocked and fun to look around. The concierge was extremely helpful and pleasant. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. We will definitely be coming back!
