The hotel its self is okay reminded me a lot of a motel with concrete balconies running along the front of the rooms and only one lift servicing each block. We had a lot of school children there. Who made a lot of noise gathering on the balconies outside the rooms The room itself was very basic for a American Hotel with two double beds a small TV with very limited channels and a basic shower, bath and WC. In a small enclosed room there was a small fridge and microwave that was a big plus especially the fridge as there is a real need for cold drinks. The Air con was leaking and they had to change the unit to a different one that worked even worse than the one that was leaking. The restaurant was very average we only used it twice as the food was left on the hotplate for far to long and a lot of it had become very dry, The salad bar was very good. The bar area also serves food even though there are only about eight mains the food here was freshly cooked and tasted a lot better than the restaurant food. The bar was very well staffed by two people one of these a lady called Jennifer (I think) she was a great asset to the hotel and nothing was too much trouble for her and she was very helpful. The checking in and out process was also very smooth, the shop was very well stocked and also served food but make sure its cooked fresh for you and not taken from the display cabinet. There was also a small gift shop with a lot of reasonably priced Disney and Universal gifts in it. The hotel is extremly big with about eight blocks of rooms. If you want a place to throw your suitcase and get on with visiting the attractions and eating out at all the different places on International Drive then this hotel is a good idea if you spend any amount of time in your room then I would suggest you look elsewhere as the rooms can be a bit depressing. There is also WiFi in certain areas in the hotel and two PCs in booths in the lobby area. The pool areas looked clean and tidy but I cannot say much more than that as we were too busy exploring the main reasons for going to Orlando

Room Tip: We had a first floor room you need a low floor one as the lifts take ages and you tend to use the stairs a lot in getting to and from your room

The hotel location itself is good. Some staff however were rude. We inquired about a trip at the hotels tourist desk we wish we hadn't bothered the lady who served us was very rude and spoke to us like we were stupid. They also didn't no very much about there trips that they were suppose to be selling.

Our room was ok but I wasn't very happy about the bed sheets or the towels. The bed sheets had dirty marks on them. The towels on a couple of occasions also had stains/ marks on them. The air conditioning was very loud. Very dark rooms. When we had booked we were told that the rooms had been refurbished recently what they have done I have no idea. The paint was a mustard yellow. The room maids come round either really early in the morning or late afternoon. Afternoon not so bad but never a set time especially if wanting a lay in.

The shop can be abit expensive but is pretty good. The pools seem ok although I haven't been in them.

We stayed at the Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando from 13th April - 28th April 2012 with 14 in our party taking up 4 rooms. The staff happily situated us all in the same block on the same floor with our rooms really close together.
After reading some of the reviews on here before we went we was a little worried as there are quite a few bad ones but on arrival we found the hotel to be in outstanding clean condition, the rooms had hairdryer, iron, ironing board, coffee maker, safety box, microwave and fridge for our convenience. The rooms were all very clean, as were the pool areas and all the hotel's surroundings.
The hotel shops were quite expensive, but there is a Walgreens superstore just over the road from the hotel. Sizzlers is situated right next door which is very cheap for a buffet breakfast and very reasonable for lunch and dinner too. There is a TGI Fridays, a Chinese restaurant, Hooters, a cinema, The Pub restaurant and an ale house within walking distance.

With our package we got free transportation to Universal so to get to the Disney Parks The IRide is situated just outside the hotel. You can buy a 2 week ticket for $17pp, get on the Iride on the side the hotel is on, get off at stop 29, wait there for the Lynx bus 111, it's $2 pp on this bus but I think you may be able to buy a 2 week ticket also which may be cheaper. The 111 goes straight to the Disney Transportation Centre where you have access to Monorail or Ferryboat to get to Magic Kingdom and Epcot and free Disney buses to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom and the water parks. To return just retrace your journey. It's about 1 hour- 1 1/2 hour journey there and back.

Any questions I would be happy to help. Thanks

Just returned from another visit to the Rosen Point hotel still great service same staff doing an excellent job, and since our last posting the hotel has become extreemly popular including the Garden restaurant which is great to see as the food cannot be complained about .The choice is still great and you can eat as much as you can possibly can . Will be returning again for the 4 time as soon as we can.

Room Tip: A genuine good hotel with 3 pools which are open till 10 pm so those returning from the parks have time to relax and swim.
