We were celebrating a special bithday and wanted to have a special dining experience. Our choice was a big chef name restaurant: Emeril's Tchop at Royal Pasific, Universal in Orlando. The interior decor of Emeril"s Tchop restaurant was exotic and charming. The menu looked enticing. However, the dishes were not prepared well: the lamb was dry, the duck dish was undercooked, the portions were tiny for the price. We liked the fusion of the spices in the dishes, but the meat was not done well. The service was not of a 5 star place. Waiters had an attitude of a chain food restaurant, not attentive or enthusiastic. There were several different people tendering the table which created more confusion than help. Overall, the place needs a lot of "tweaking" to live up to 5 star reputation. It has great setting and potential. Unfortunately, our dining was rather mediocre.
