Arrived to check in at 4.40pmafter 24hrs flying. Checkin staff not helpful said room not ready and when asked how long shrugged and said no idea, try returning in 1hr. Returned at 5.50 another service agent again said no roooms ready (checkin is 4pm by the way) and asked again to wait. Told me our room was on 4th floor but not ready yet. Husband went back 1/2hr later and told same by a 3rd (surly) Wyndham person. By 7.40pm we were fuming, jetlagged & out of patience. Worse still, watching others checkin effortlessly, just made us madder..... Returned to desk, got the evening manager this time who fiddled endlessly with her computer, shook head and said weve very little availability... I replied well you had lotswhen I booked this 6 months ago!! She went off backroom & returned gave us keys to room on ground floor, Id specifically said we didnt want ground location. Eventually at 10mins to 8pm - 3 hours later!!! we got key to apartment, and all the Wyndham person said was thanks for your patience (as if we had any choice!!). We attended a Wyndham timeshare presentation and told the sales guy about our experience - although he was apologetic and made us write a complaint form saying he'd deal with it, we heard nothing further (as expected). So we left with a poor image of Wyndham through this.
PS if you dont wanna waste 5hrs of your time, dont do the presentation...

Anyway, back to the place/location - 1bed apartment was ok but beware - ours had a lockoff 1bed section that others used, and it was so noisy you could hear them coughing and every word they said. Generally the soundproofing between rooms was poor, hearing people shower & walking upstairs. Pool areas were noisy so try and pick rooms away from this if you dont want kids screaming all day and into the evening. Also the regular noise from the 192 road in front of the resort, combined with regular firetrucks/ambos horns blaring, added to the 'ambience' of the resorts location!!
Rather unsettling to see security guards cruising up and down the carparks and grounds

All in all, in 26yrs of timeshare exchanging, wed probably say this is one of the worst ones weve been in,you can get much better Disney area timeshare accommodation elsewhere & quieter, and much better customer service/checkin experience.

Room tip: ask for high floor and away from pool

We stayed at Cypress Palms for a week in October. Our unit was very nice. It was just recently remodeled. The pictures on Tripadvisor are nothing like what the condo actually looked like. It was really nice and comfortable. Our kitchen was equipped with pots and pans and other cooking utensils.
I was actually surprised of how nice this unit looked considering what we paid. The rates were very, very reasonable. We will without a doubt stay here again when we go back to Orlando.

So this was a nice place.. Quiet, nice, and the "outdated" rooms as I have read were not that outdated, they were real nice, so I am sure the new ones are fabulous. Close to everything.. But set back in a bit of a serene setting also. LADIES--beware of the pathetic shower pressure though..if you have hair..longer than a buzz cut, lol, it takes FOREVERRRRR to wet and wash ur hair... go get a 3.00 showerhead at walmart. lol other than that..Loved it!!! I would def stay here again..BUT.... make sure depending on what you want..you are precise when you book your room. they dont tell you on their website but they have a 1 and a 2 bdrm right..BUT.... if you dont ASK for a one bedroom DELUXE..you will get a little studio one bedroom, still has a seperaste bedroom, but..NO patio..NO whirpool tub, and it is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than the one bedroom DELUXE. (Still very nice and cute)..better than a hotel room for sure..they are all "apartment type" rooms..Also...go see Bonnett Creek... Their other resort. BEAUTIFUL! Overall very nice stay!~

We stayed here from Feb 22 - 27. It was a nice stay. It was better than our expectations. Check In was quick. The front desk always friendly and helpful.

We had a 1 bedroom suite. It was spacious. A king bed in the bedroom and a pull out sofa. It was convenient, because we were a group of 4. The kitchen was a full kitchen, with full size appliances and all the utensils needed in a kitchen.

The pool and jacuzzi area was small, but nice. The hours were convenient also. 8am - 11pm. Nice to go relax in the pool after a day at the parks.

There are restaurants right in front of the hotel. Unos, Macaroni Grill and Cracker Barrel. Also, CVS and Crispy Creme is all within walking distance. The super Walmart and Publix, for groceries is about a 5 minute drive. Disney is about a 15 minute drive. We liked this location as it is close to everything.

We would probably stay here again if we return to the area. =)

This is our second stay at the Wyndham Cypress Palms in the past 3 years and not much has changed since our last visit. The location is Great if you choose to stay off-property in Orlando, as we always do. Close to many food options and very easy to get to all the major Orlando attractions. The grounds are lovely and the pools prefect for the kids. The kitchens are functional but difficult to work in and the house-keeping must be an add-on. The exchange through RCI which makes it hard to "value" the property.
