No respect for long time Hyatt member. Rude staff. Hard beds. Overpriced drinks and food.... I should have stayed either at Hyatt on I drive or the ritz..... even with the renovations this hotel is not worth it!

I stayed here for a conference and it was a great hotel in every way. I highly recommend this property for a family trip or a business trip. The staff is great, the grounds and hotel are fantastic and well cared for and it is a very quiet property considering in a high traffic tourist locale.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress for three days in November 2018 for a charity fundraiser. The event centered around golf and tennis. The Hyatt is a wonderful property for conventions or large groups. There was a wedding going on at the same time that looked very pretty by the lake.

If you are looking for something small and intimate, the scale of the Hyatt might be overwhelming. But if you are looking for a resort with a lot to do which is very convenient to the Orlando attractions, this might be your ticket. The pool area is very large and well maintained. All around it are activities such as volleyball, rock wall climbing, different water crafts for the lake area, bikes, fountains for the kids to run through, hot tubs, slides, bridges, etc. The fitness center has a wide variety of equipment to work out on. There are several restaurants on the premises which are all very good. The golf is world class with several holes which are beautiful in their own right. I've stay at the Hyatt on multiple occasions. Everyone likes the rooms, but some have the all glass showers and some have the traditional tub with a curtain. Normally, I don't care about stuff like that, but I actually prefer the tub and curtain at the Hyatt. The higher floors have the better views of the property and city. The rooms have complimentary wi-fi or the upgraded access for a price. The property itself is beautiful and well worth a stroll through the grounds.

As long as you are comfortable with a large scale resort that caters to groups normally , I would recommend the Hyatt for a stay in the Orlando area.

Room tip: Most views are nice from the upper floors.
