I'm not going back for a while! Under the current conditions, it’s not worth the expense and hassle.
Let me start by saying that I fully support and believe in wearing a mask and my family and I wear a mask at all the time when we're in public places. I understand and support Disney's mask policy, however I felt harassed by the employees at the park enforcing the rules. My family got yelled at so many times I lost count!
I was yelled at for briefly taking my mask off to take a quick selfie when nobody was around. My son (5 years old) was yelled at for taking his mask off to take a sip of water while waiting in line... But the worst was a VERY RUDE security guard maned Linda- She yelled and harassed my aunt and uncle for briefly taking their masks off to take a quick picture. When I confronted Linda, the security guard for her lack of courtesy and harassing behavior, she yelled at me and said: “this is my town, my rules.” We’re a Latino family and I found her comments hurtful and borderline racist. I was disappointed and hurt to leave the park with such a sad and hurtful memory. It was heartbreaking for my 5-year-old son to have to witnessed and experienced such racist upsetting behavior from a Disney employee at Magic Kingdom.
Finally, I thought a lot of the "cast members" we interacted with were rude and not embodying the expected "Disney's exceptional service”. I felt bad for them, I could tell they were stressed out and unhappy. Not what you expect at “the most magical place on earth.”
