We love Disney Springs. Our Disney trip always starts with a first night visit to Disney Springs. We love the atmosphere and the fact that there is so much to see and do. Lots of great restaurants to choose from and lots of great shopping too. It gets us excited for the next few days that we will spend at the parks. We had not been since before the pandemic and were thrilled to see how many new shops there were. We are going back this year and plan to get to Orlando early just so we can spend some extra time at Disney Springs.

Dining and Shopping Mecca. Pass through security from the parking lots to Disney Springs. Sad we need security in these times. Tons of stores and restaurants at all price points to get a bite or fine dining. Movie theaters, you name it.

Parking at Disney Springs can be a frustrating ordeal - alot of traffic, tight indoor parking and long security lines. During peak periods, it is hard to find parking in the Orange and Lime Parking garages.

If you don't mind outdoor parking, try parking in the Strawberry Parking Lot. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to park in the wide spaces especially if you have large SUVs or trucks. The outdoor security line also moves fast.

The one major negative of the Strawberry Parking Lot is its location at the end of Disney Springs near Cirque du Soleil. It is a long walk to the other side of Disney Springs that has the huge World of Disney store and LEGO store.

It is convenient to park here if you are going to the AMC Theatre or the Splitsville bowling alley or eating at Jaleo by Jose Andres, The Summer House on the Lake and House of Blues.

We stayed at Saratoga Springs so Disney Springs was very easy to access. We really wanted to buy some things for our family however, the shopping is very very limited. Unless you want to buy everything, Disney, you have a very small handful of stores to purchase things that are not related.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a Disney property, but I think 90% of the souvenirs for purchase are all Disney. in fact, I can think of three or four stores that had the exact same Disney items. In other words, why not add some choices that are not the same Disney souvenirs over over and over again.

Again, I understand being on vacation and spending money, but it seems on the high side as far as reasonable pricing goes. Some restaurants are good. Some are bad it just depends what you’re looking for. I suppose I will be back after all once you’re in Disney, you become a captive audience.
