I have been to all the Disney property hotels and the Yacht Club was the best! We stayed concierge and everyone was so very accommodating. From the moment we arrived, there was someone to greet us and take us directly to concierge to sign in. Our room was ready immediately (first time ever). Of course the sandy bottom pool was wonderful but the real reason to stay at the Yacht Club are the 'cast members'. They are all outstanding!

Yacht Club has all the benefits of a Disney property such as extra magic hours in the parks, bus and boat transportation, etc. But what it lacks is a Disney feel. Other than some subtle hidden Mickeys and the nautical theming, the room feels like any Hampton Inn.

If I were to return with my family, I would choose the Beach Club side. Yes, YC is quieter than the BC side for the most part. Except when there's a conference underway. Our very quiet weekend transformed into a busy lobby full of business travelers once the work week and a conference started. The lobby swarmed with white guys in suits just like any Marriott or Hilton in a major city. It really lost that special Disney feel.

It's also an extremely long walk from YC to the Marketplace in BC where the quick service meal counter is located.

At the pool, Hurricane Hannah's is closed for refurb until December. There's a hot dog cart at the pool for the interim, but it's pretty lame and a waste of dining credits if you are on the Disney dining plan.

Service from all staff was as efficient as any business hotel, but again they did not put out that friendly Disney vibe you get from staff at other Disney properties.

Best holiday we have had in Florida , we stayed in the Yacht Club and in the past have stayed on International Drive. We would never go back to International Drive after staying at the Yacht Club as the level of service was excellent. The Hotel was clean, fresh, light and the room had comfortable beds with fantastic quiet running air conditioning. Supplied with hairdryer, iron and board, tea making facilities, fridge for cold drinks- and on every level an ice making machine. We payed extra for a lake view that we had , stunning views to watch fireworks from epcot. This side of the hotel is lovely and quiet in the evenings, small walk from main reception where you will find friendly helpful staff. The swimming pool is a great place to cool down , plenty of lifeguards on duty all around the pool and very dedicated to their job. Pool was crystal clear with plenty of water checks being done. Food was fantastic , plenty of places to eat and very quick . Disney dining plan is definately a must. Will be returning again to this hotel as couldnt fault it at all. Thankyou for a great holiday.

Room Tip: Yacht Hotel is a bit quieter than beach side

We stayed here during the first two weeks of August. The location is brilliant for Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Epcot was a gentle 10 minute stroll and Hollywood studios you could walk in 20 minutes or catch the boat which took about half that time. Our room was much larger than we have had in other Disney hotels and we had a great view overlooking the lake and Boardwalk. The pool is great my children 11 and 9 enjoyed the lazy river and th slide and I am sure they would have been happy to spend the whole two weeks in the pool. There was some instruction work going on at the front of the hotel but from our room it was not noticeable and dd not cues any problems when headin out with the car. The rooms are very lean and even on the one day when I was asked if we wanted the room cleaned and I said no they still came in later and vacuumed and changed bedding and towels. We tried all bar the steak house nd found th food ver good with the exception of the buffet. It was very expensive with very minimal choice, this was not a problem for us as we were on the dining plan so. I would like to agree with a number of reviews on here that the ice cream parlour was very good. I notice a few people saying the inning plan can be a little repetitive, which I can nderstnd however being so close to Epcot you can eat a different type of food every day, no need just for steak, burger and fries. I must confess though the children liked TRex at Downtown Disney (which is also covered by the Dining Plan) and we went here more than once. Overall this s prolly the nicest hotl we ave stayed at in all our visits to Orlando, although also the most expensive and if the cashflow allows we would stay here on our next visit.

I can't recommend the Yacht Club enough!!! It made the best holiday of my life.

From the moment we arrived at the gate, we were treated like royalty. The resort was second to none. Just to walk in the foyer every time with the smell of magnolia in the air was heavenly (wish they bottled that exact smell and sold it). Any issues were dealt with straight away. We were offered an upgrade to conceirge level at the Beach Club upon check-in, but we decided that we wanted to stay at Yacht Club. We were not disappointed!

The room was fantastic. Extremely clean. It was full of tastiful decor. We were on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the wedding pavilion. There was a wedding everyday. Unfortunately, with all the parks, we didn't have time to watch a wedding. We enjoyed watching them set up though. But they were never intrusive with noise during setup. You could tell there setup was a well-oiled machine.
If I had anything to pick on with the rooms, they could have done with a kettle in the room, instead of just a coffee maker. It may it difficult to make a nice cup of tea. But that is just nit-picking on my side. I did like the fact that you provided british teabags in the room (Twinings).

The beds were the best I have ever slept in, including the most wonderful pillows I have ever had the privilege to put my head on.

The only thing I thought they could do with improving on was the situation at check out. We asked about assistance over to another hotel where we were due to pick up a hire car. However, they didn't offer assistance to get over there. It was an extremely hot day with two suitcases that we had to drag ourselves. It would have been nice if they had offered to take us in one of their golf buggies to the hotel. It would have really made a difference.

Another suggestion as an improvement would be to have a water fountain somewhere in the hotel. As they are all over the parks, it would make a huge difference. We ended up getting the ice bucket each night and filling it up with ice so that it would melt overnight, that way we would have a cold glass of water in the mornings. In Florida heat and humidity, you need it!

But overall, it was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. I couldn't recommend it more! It may seem pricey, but when you look at what you get in the package, it is worth every cent (or penny) and much more.
