We requested a first floor room a month before the arrival date. The front desk said it wasn’t guaranteed which I knew but the way he said it was condescending at best. We were given a suite as requested but it was bare, little to no way of meal preparation, small frig with iced up freezer shelf. You have to pay for parking but at least it was near enough to everything so we didn’t have to drive anywhere. Could use a good deep cleaning and updating

Room tip: Look around. For the money you can do better

Thank you for your response, we always appreciate feedback, and do take the opportunity to grow from it. We do our best to accommodate all room requests, but sometimes it is not possible. We are definitely in a great location, with great restaurants and shops. We certainly hope that you will visit again soon.

A pleasant and friendly hotel located on the Main Street. Denis , I think, was great at checking us in and we had time to make us of the pool. A big comfy bed and a full breakfast the next day. But the question must be when you pay over $200 for the night why another $ 18 plus tax for parking you expect this in Miami but not so in small seaside towns

I am glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. Dennis is amazing and a true asset to our team. In regards to parking charges
most hotels in the New Smyrna Beach area charge for parking. We have limited parking on property and have been charging parking now for some time. We do have the parking charges listed on the website and they are also noted in the hotel details when you make your reservation. We even have it posted at the front desk. Unadvertised parking fee of $17.04 a day is outrageous considering rates are up and services such as daily maid service are no more.
The hotel is taking advantage of the resurgence in travel but should not charge for parking.

Ask about the parking fee… you know, when you pay over $200 a night and don’t even get your bedding made the next day being charged $16 a day plus tax for parking is just cruel! If this were an updated Hampton Inn maybe maybe I would feel differently but it was the same set up as I experienced 10 years earlier. I think it is just cruel and makes Hampton Inn look bad to charge for parking when people are paying so much money to stay where they are.

This place was sub par. We called ahead 3x to confirm that each room was equipped with a fridge and microwave, as we were traveling with a baby. We were assured these items would be there, however they were not. The lady at the front desk said there is a shared fridge in the break room that we could use and a microwave by the front desk. Not helpful and offered no apology. We asked for a late check out so that our baby could nap, we were told no. At 11am sharp the cleaning lady ignored our “do not disturb, sleeping” sign, banged on the door and told me that I was going to be charged an extra day - and woke up my baby. For a new hotel, the rooms and bathroom were dated looking and my bathroom was not clean. For $400 per night, I expected more. It doesn’t cost anything to be polite and sympathetic, this was our first trip with our baby and it’s not easy, especially when the hotel staff make everything harder. I run an Airbnb and I am no stranger to the ins and outs of good hospitality - and this place doesn’t have it. Will not be back.
